| |  Steve Vai is definately at the top among those you listed. the others though iconic and inovative, really aren't what I would called especially skilled guitarists. I would put up names like John Petrucci (dream theater), Vinnie Vincent (kiss, vinnie vincent invasion), Marty Friedman (megadeth, marty friedman project), Vivian Campell (whitesmake, def lepard) then there are solo guitarists like Joe Satriani and Eric Johnston.
