Walmart: Scam or not?  

It sounds like spam to me. Have you seen any of those sites that promise things like free gift cards or laptops, but require you to participate by signing up for free trial offers and referring other people to the site? That's exactly what this sounds like. If I were you, I'd just report it as spam and not worry about it.

I think an email stating that this is not a spam, is indeed spam.

yes this is a scam because they me those all they time and they be different ones.

I just delete those things, friend. Even if it was true (which I doubt), it would only be for US residents. But $1000 is too much anyway. Sounds like the typical mails we recieve once in a while about millions of dollars that an attorney has for us if we just sent them a few dollars and some answers so they can put it in our bank account.

I used to receive lots of mails from all the stores where i used to buy stuff and groceries. true or not, scam or legit-- i never bothered myself to explore it. now that i am in the philippines it will be most impossible for me to expect something from them without viewing any advertisement online, purchasing something from their sponsors, and answer a survey to get the price.

i just delete their mails! how are you friend? how are you going to celebrate the holiday christmas?

It looks like an attempt a getting your personal details which can them be used in identity theft. It's spam, just delete it.

I'd get in touch with Walmart, it looks like a scam and they probably are trying to get information from you such as your banking numbers and so on.

I have gotten a e-mail like this, I just deleted it, it's no good because if you click on the e-mail, they want you to take this long survey, and then they want you buy something, I don't bother with there kind of e-mails, because there is always something behind this stuff.
