| So I have an HP laptop that crashed. Anyone know how to fix it? | | | | It has 2 hard drives but I don't want to pay 250.00 to fix the problem again. I know the computer system is unstable but I know I can still get some use out of it. If anyone has any good ideas please let me know. Thanks | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | If you did not open it. I think the best way to reformat it. But if you open it and experience trouble just run your disk management system that is found your computer to fix any cluster and or bad sector in your hard drive... If this is not work out. Just go to the best option just back up all your files then reformat it to clean all the trouble and viruses in your laptop...If you don't know how to reformat just ask me again I will guide you... | | | | | | | mrnowrench (972)

| | I think that is a serious problem, my friend. If that come up just set your windows to safe mode. If this is open to safe mode then run the disk management system that is found in your control panel...or right click the drives then click properties...click tools..click check disk... If this is not resolve the problem. I think there is one missing program in the registry. Insert your widows operating system to restore the program...if the cd is prompt click install...this is not being re-install the operating system this is only to re-install the missing program...If this remedy is not working... Back up all your files and reformat your laptop... | | | | | | | Local Electronic Stores Find Local Electronics Stores & Get yellowpages.com | add comment | | | |

| | I used to repair laptops for another major computer company and the first thing that we do with laptops is reseat any external devices on the system, ie drives, battery, memory, etc...should be pretty easy to do with a small screwdriver just make sure its turned on....with no power and reseating devices should reset bios, then try to fire it up again and see if it'll at least boot to hard drive...also check bios to see if the hard drive is being recognized | | | | | | | mrnowrench (972)

| | I took off the battery and tried this but I guess the power was really low in the laptop and it just went to BIOS twice and shut off. I'll charge it overnight and try again in the morning. Thanks for your help and I'll ask you more questions tomorrow I'm sure. Thanks | | | | | | | Ask a Mechanic Online Now 17 Auto Mechanics Are Online! Auto Problems? Get an Answer ASAP.
