I have a toddler son that likes to fiddle with everything that he lays his hands on. I have two dogs as well that like to be playful. My baby girl is no threat to my Christmas tree.
I have a Christmas tree that is about 70cm high and it has been placed on a table so my toddler and dogs don't pull things off it. It is an artificial green tree and I keep it in a box up my loft for the rest of the year. In a craft market I bought a wooden angel for the top of my Christmas tree.
How big is your Christmas tree?
Do you have it on the ground or on a table?
What color is your Christmas tree?
Is it real or artificial?
Have you anything special on your Christmas tree?

I'm not a Christian. But I enjoy your this colorful festival. It becomes a social festival rather than a religious function. Christians of all ages participate in this festival. Even the non Christians also take part in this festival.I hope all the people of the world calibrate the festivals of other religion. Enjoy Christmas.Cheers.

last year on clearance I bought a skinny tree....about 6 foot high that sets on the floor...but I don't have kids or pets. I did all my decorations different this year..in the past everything was snowmen...but this year I did my tree in red and gold....oraments and big gold and red poinsettias......also lots of gold ribbon....and sparkly gold ornaments.....I love it. It's green and artificial as when my son moved out it was too hard for me to tote around the real ones...

Well we've gone with a couple of different options as far as the christmas tree goes in my family. We've had real trees and we've had small little plastic trees with white branches. I'm not real sure if we're putting a tree up this year because there isn't one up yet but who knows.

Hello maxi,
Good luck with the little one and your tree. I remember when my children were young and having to keep them from playing with all the stuff on the tree. Oh the days.
We actually have a live tree in our home. It is in a pot that sits on a special cart. The tree is about 4 feet tall, the only threats that we have with it are the kitten that is curious about everything.
Each year we bring our little tree into the house to decorate. I love seeing the changes in the tree every year. How many more ornaments we can place on it, etc. The joy of the holiday tree.
Happy holidays!

We have a small (tabletop size) artificial tree that we put on the diningroom table across from Sammie (da bird). She likes watching the little blinking lights. Last year Liz put up the artificial tree. She had more time then and we didn't have the two cats who have the notion that any surface that doesn't have paw prints on it need some to make it complete..But that's fine as I'd rather she not futz away her few days home worrying (and aggravating herself..and me) over the traditionalism of a tree. The special ornament will just be hung with the cards this year...

I can understand your toddler and dogs wanting to plasy with the Christmas tree,. I have cats like that. Years ago, when my mum had her tree up, the cat tried pull a decoration off, and the whole tree came down.
My tree is 2 metres and green. Its a fairly cheap one. Years ago I had bought an expensive white tree, but after a few years it turned yellow. So I wont ever spend a lot of money on the tree again.
We have it in the lounge room, with decorations, lights and a lit star on the top.

I don't have a christmas tree this year. think I've not had one since I was about seven years old. I had a white plastic tree when I was younger.
This year, my only decoration at home is a tiny wreath on my front door. And the 3M sticker I've used is failing me! the wreath is lop-sided cos one sticker keeps getting unglued. i think the main problem is with the wreath since it is twiggy.

It's a real tree, about 6 ft. with lots of ornaments going back to when I was a child. The children put the ornaments on this year, so I'm not even sure which ones are up. There's not enough room for all of them.

I belive mine is a 'nordic spruce' - it is about 6ft talland ha thin branches - I love getting a real tree every year it smells nice! My male dog sometimes likes to go and sit under it as it is near the radiator and I imagine nice and cosy under it but, when he knocks it getting out he comes out with bits all over him!! lol

the average size is what i prefer inside my home not really the big size and only put christmas light, balls, and ribbon wreath on it. then lots of gifts and so on. I prefer the artificial one inside my home while trees the real one could also be decorated outside my homes..

We did not install a Christmas tree in our house here in the city. We just hang the Christmas lights to our balcony. But I like the Christmas tree in my mother's home. It's an actual Christmas tree-shape plant ornamented with different colored lights, toys and balls. The plant is located in the front lawn, nice attraction at night.

We have a medium size christmas tree. and even though there are no toddlers in my house, we do have cats and they like to eat that the branches and climb up the tree. Next year, I might get a fake one because Im scared that the real one may catch on fire lol
