This 2008 biopic is an engaging film. It tells about the trials and tribulations of the protagonist in racial tense America in the late 1950s and early 1960s before the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Beautifully screen-played and well paced, it captures the essence of the short life of Ernie who was to die from leukemia at the age of only 23. Robson Brown starred as Ernie while Dennis Quaid starred as the coach. Love this movie. See it!
This sounds like a very good movie! I remember those days, that's for sure! I'll be sure to watch it if it ever comes on television. I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.Kathy.
