How do you TAKE IT ??? |
| |
| Many of us take it different ways, and that's good for everyone as we are different to our needs. INSTANT COFFEE, out of the Tin or Bottle, how do you make your coffee. Now for me I spoon the coffee in and the sugar then the hot water then add milk, well that's the everyday coffee, we wont go to the fancy stuff we make. but just the plain coffee. Some say that in me doing that I cook the coffee for the second time, in this makes it bitter, where as others, Spoon the coffee in and sugar and then add the cold milk, so as to when they add the hot water it will not re roast the coffee. Now for me I am unsure about this, in some ways it makes sense and in others may only be an old mothers tale. So lets know how you make yours and if you can tell me why you do it this way. Tell me HOW YOU TAKE IT. HICCUP/ | | | | | |

| | Hi Hiccup, How are you today? and hope that you are doing great. Good topics you have selected here and also I am always like to use the instant coffee, because the individual packs itself have everything on it and no need to go for everything from the bottles to bottles, so it is really save our time and also we would be very happy to save our time and also would be very faster to drink our coffee in a second. So I liked the Instant coffee and used to have at my office as well as in the home. Have a great day. | | | | | | |

| | What I was looking for was does putting hot water in onto top of the coffee cook it again or if you put the milk in first does that stop that second cook of the coffee. Seeing it is roasted coffee, how does the heat go with it does it roast it again. HICCUP/ | | | |

| | Hi hiccup. Although I've always loved the smell of coffee, as I smell it everytime I go into coffee shops to get some pastries, I am new to the drinking part of it. The caffeine in the diet coke I drink all the time have lost its power. Now, when I want coffee, I just drive through and order one with 2 creams and 2 sugar. I have no idea how they prepare it. See thea, same response... | | | | | | |

| | When I am at home I usually make a whole pot of coffee which will give me 4 good size mugs of coffee. I buy the ground coffee, usually whatever is on sale. O use a stove top perculator and I do not care for those drip coffee makers suc as Mr. Coffee. As a matter of fact I think I will make a pot of coffee very soon/ I like to drink my coffee black but sometimes if I am in a restaurant I will put one of those flavored creamers in with my coffee, last week I had hazelnut. It was pretty good. | | | | | | |

| | Maggiepie likes a cuppa Joe in the morning when I get there. I measure the water and nuke it while I measure the instant coffee and equal into the cup and then add the hot water - she doesn't like milk. I don't like instant coffee, I will get brewed stuff at my mom's, first I add the Splenda, then a bit of coffee to mix it, then the milk - half and half actually - and then finish filling the cup - then I don't have to stir it because its all mixed all ready! A bit of a production, but I'm not adding a stir straw to the landfill... I'd rather not use the little diary creamers either, but that's about what you have to do to have a safe way to have a large number of people getting coffee. | | | | | | |

| | Maggie calls ME a coffee snob, but really, I just find the instant doesn't taste like what I call coffee - more burnt - there are many who are much more "snobs" about coffee than I am | | | |

| | That's a point with the steam going through the coffee beans. I have never had coffee with ginger in it so far there has been a few who do this here, I like ginger. I only buy Australian Ginger, For very good reason, some years back not many, we grew 80% of the Worlds ginger, much went to Asian nations to be processed, then they would pack it and ship it everywhere as Asian Ginger, when in fact it was Australian grown. So I buy Australian Ginger grown and packed in Australia, I'm not one eyed on this, But back to the coffee with ginger I will try that as I love ginger. HICCUP/ | | | |

| | Hiccup - Ginger is the healthiest food and the tastiest, changing any common old food into a luxury. Try ginger (never, never, never ground ginger, but fresh, minced ginger) in PORRIDGE, CUSTARD, Milo or hot choc, any stir fry, all veges, all meats, cold water (makes water GREAT!), hot water (great for sore throats, colds, and is very delicious) ice cream, rice, cakes, pancakes - you name it! Porridge and custard become a whole new sensation. I hardly cook anything without ginger. I like fresh minced ginger, but use so much of it that for convenience I also keep jars of CONTINENTAL minced ginger, which I like to use for coffee and hot choc. The other brands have additives and don't taste like ginger. Try the Asian food shops and see if you can get Indonesian ginger drink. No, I do NOT mean ginger tea. The Indonesian drink is just minced, dried ginger with added sugar. The one I have is Jahe Wangi - and it is GREAT! | | | |

| | Wow, cloudwatcher. That is an interesting tip. I will try this. So far I used ginger in tea. In fact, I used to add many things in tea - nowadays we get it ready made with all those ingredients. :) But coming back to coffee. I will definitely use ginger tomorrow. Thanks for the tip. | | | |
