About commenting responses

A while ago, around the time I first joined mylot, I started a discussion basically asking if commenting responses is counted towards earnings.
I have tried it, and I do think my earning rate went up- but when I comment I try not to think about it, and just concentrate on making good (or at least sensible) comments.
After I start a discussion, and I have time to be on mylot, I'll comment any good responses I get. If I go off the computer, and come back, there are aften 10 or 20 new resonses, and I just can't keep up with all of them!
I haven't commented EVERY response I've gotten to my discussions, but I want people to know that I really do appreciate all the responses I get! w

It seems to me that one is paid for making responses to others discussions and for discussions one starts but only if someone responds to them. As far as I can tell you are not paid for responding to the responses that a discussion you have started gets.

We earn for ALL of our OWN activity, regardless of whether it causes our number to increase or not. The two are not related.
From the FAQs:
"What can I do to increase my earnings?
What an excellent question, and one we hope every myLot user will ask.
Use myLot, post discussions, respond to discussions.
Post quality content. For example, generate discussions that engage other users and provide insightful responses and comments to other users discussions to further the topic"

Yes, you will also get paid for replying to responses. basically everything you type counts as long as they are sensible and not considered spam. you will notice a lot of people out there with lower number of responses but have been paid a lot of times already mainly because they reply to most if not all of the responses they get on their topics. those comments wont add up to the number of replies you have but will definitely earn you additional bucks. :D

Hello olisaur its not fair to do so, as the other mylotter do put in their efforts to respond to our discussions, and think must be responded back with proper response.Me too often do respond to all the responses rec to mine discussions, even there are responses which are offensive, lazy, sluggiest, etc but then also am responding to it.Its just like facing an challenge or an competiton, we can't run aways from it.I know it difficult to respond to each and every responses rec, me too feel bored sometimes but have to as we also won't get any response to our responses.Well earning increases is another factor to be taken into consideration, it isn't waste after all.Well keep on participating on mylot, Happy mylotting.

I'm not really sure what you get paid for, but I just try to stay active, and post well thought out discussion. I try to add something to the discussions posted, and not just a one line reply or something. I guess it's good that mylot doesn't tell people what they get exactly they get paid for though, or else everybody would only do those things. You would get people only responding, or only starting discussions.
It would be nice to know, but I see why they don't tell everybody.

Hi, olisaur. I feel the same as you feel too. I do try to comment to many responses, but there are times that I will not be able to comment on all of my responses. It does not mean that I don't care, because I read all of my responses. And one thing about me, I will always give the member a rating of a plus. I hardly will give a minus. I am appreciative of the fact that they even took the time to read and respond to my discussion. And for that, I will give them a good rating.

hi olisaur!
i do try to reply to all the responses i get whenever i have started a discussion and like everyone here at mylot, i do have difficulty keeping up. however, i try my best to respond to all those who posted in my discussion not because i want to earn more but really as a courtesy, a sign that i appreciate my fellow mylotters taking time to comment in the discussion i have put up.
just my thoughts!
cheers!!!

Hi olisaur: first of all I think it's very good that you don't simply think about your earnings because that will means that your really care for the kind of responses you do and that you read what other people say. I think you need to take it easy, it's not necessary to make a comment on every response on your discussions, simply make a comment if you find it relevant to make it. At leas, that's what i do. Thanks for your answer. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. Take care.

The more you write the more you earn Olisaur irrespective of the comments you add to your responses of your discussions or the comments left on other discussions.its good to respond to all our responders and i enjoy commenting back and it would be encouraging for them if you dont take some time to oppose or accept their opinions.good day and Merry Christmas.
