will give that one a miss. i know someone who plays with tarot (did it quite well. once) and charges erm nothing, as i imagine their predictions are of at least equal quality if i ever get bored enough to want a reading i'll let him play.

Back before you were born (in 1974), a gypsy (?) in a caravan on Blackpool Promenade ("seer to the stars" "proven references") told me that I would be married within a year and I would have two sons and a daughter.

OK.

1. Obama will continue to be unpopular with American conservatives, many of whom will continue to appear on MyLot being irrationally critical.

2. Sarah Palin will continue to be popular with American conservatives.

3. The Tories will win the UK General Election, unemployment will then rise by 5% above the already high level, though mainly in areas where the Tories never win any votes.

4. Angela Merkel will remain Chancellor of Germany throughout the year despite friction in the new coalition.

My predictions were deliberately unadventurous, as I am aiming for 100% accuracy rather than for anything daring!

For all that I may be wrong about the rise in unemployment after the Tories win the election - it could be 10%! Check out 1970 and 1979, the last time they displaced Labour, unemployment rose very sharply both times - so there are historical precedents (1.3 million to 3.1 million in 2 years between 1979 and 1981).

well it is a multi-million dollar industry totally based upon people's gullibility, and no-one is going to crack the golden egg, are they?

Enjoy the holiday period yourself (you'll have the weather for it, we have all the aftermath of half-thawed snow, i.e. slush, ice and pools of dirty water outside!), and have a great 2010.
