Why Dont You Believe in Santa Claus Anymore?  |

|  Is it because someone told you so that Santa is only a winter's tale? Was it because you outgrew your Peter Pan years? As for me, it was reading that made me aware that Santa Claus was only a symbol of Christmas with a tale behind it. It has become a feature of our psyche as we grew up. When we were given the responsibility to organise Santa functions,many of us knew Santa was good only for knee-high kids to believe that he exists. So, why did you not believe in Santa Claus anymore?

| |  My dad told me Santa Claus wasn't real when I was 7 years old. That him and my mom bought me the presents and he just represents the spirit of Christmas. My mom was very upset with him. My oldest daughter is 9 and she is starting to get a hint at things. We use a different paper for the Santa presents and everything. Our presents to our kids are under the tree and then Santa drops his off on Christmas night. This year I accidentally mixed one of my daughters presents with her little sister. I realized as they were about to open the wrong gift and said that ones not yours trade. My oldest daughter said yes it is mom it says Kassidy. And I said I know but Santa messed up. She said how do you know and I just smiled and said I just do. She is starting to know and I kinda want to tell her. My husband said no it isn't time yet. I so enjoy seeing her believe in something that spectacular and special though.

For years, all I got were socks, then it was a set of toothbrush or a face towel.So, by and by, we started disbelieving in Santa.Sure, we love the Santa songs and the Santa movies. | |  I still believe in Santa and I am 29 years old!! I know there is no fat man with white heair and a beard riding on reindeers,but there are people who make the special holidays just that special.These people help the less fortunate at Xmas with gifts,money,gift cards,food,and prayers.Me and my kids had a visit from SAntaa this year, and it was much needed.I cried.So I thinj Santa is real,and I will always believe.

Before, we see Santa coming in to the church with presents to give once our church celebration on Christmas Day ends.How the children love him as he handed presents, sweets and give out his sonorous " Ho! I knew that Santa Claus is not real. Saint Nicholas and his good intention
in the 'love of giving' lives till today. The important element of
Christmas where God so love the world that He gave his beloved son
to this world...'Love' and 'Giving' which Santa Claus (St.Nicholas)
shows that touches our heart.

| |  Hi James: I agree with you, Santa Claus as an idea is pure commercialism, while Saint Nicholas, the man and his good actiosn, his love for god and the defense of the persons that were in need still in our Christian values and that's what should matters. The real sense of CHRISTmas is Christ, St Nicholas was a saint and there is a story related with gifts. But Santa Claus is an invention of Coca Cola for pure commercialism and nothing more.

| |  I dropped the whole Christian notion of a guy dying for our sins. If he actually did that, then the world should have been better according to logic, but it's not by a long shot, so forget that.
Anyway, history states that there was a Saint Nick, but that is a big big difference from the fat and jolly "Santa Claus" that is now commercialized to make the companies richer.

| |  I want to desperately believe in Santa Claus, and that wishful thinking overrides all common sense. I know there is no snow here. I know too many people can wear clothes like Santa. But what I want, and what I need, only Santa can give. So I wait, hoping for me to be pleasantly surprised. :)
