For those with joint banking : Is it harder for you to shop for you partner?  

I was thinking about this the other day, I was wondering if it would be harder for me to buy more for my husband with us having joint banking. I mean if I bought something more expensive he may be able to guess as what I would buy would be something he'd want. I was able to guess one gift I was going to get for Christmas, but I don't remember if that was so much because of the way it was wrapped, a lucky guess or the amount that was taken out for that particular store when checking the bank statement...

Hmm but I wonder if others have this trouble or if they purchase the gifts along with a few groceries so that the other half can't tell what was grocery and what was gift?
