We all have ups and downs and we all know that it doesn't matter how many times you fall, what matters is how many times you stand up, but what drives you to stand up every time?
Do you have some techniques that you want to share? Do you listen to specific music, do you watch certain movies? Do you talk to your friends and family or you just keep things to yourself?

Hello thewayis!
Each time I fall, I always think about being able to reach my goals. My goals help me become more determined and inspired. When I feel depressed, I always think about how depression can blur my view off my goals. My boyfriend always make it a point to cheer me up. Of course, friends and family are also very helpful. Even my dogs keep me from being depressed.

It is impossible for someone NOT to or NEVER to experience being depressed. We all go through this at least once in our lifetime.
To address your question: First, what would cause you to keep yourself away from your goals? Do you really have to steer away from your goals?

Well, my job takes most of the time for lectures at university and it is the last year before graduation but I may not take the exams. But I can't quit the job (which I hate, by the way) because I live on my own and I can't afford to stay without money even for a couple of months. So it is keeping the job - losing 3 years of study or... and here is when I'm stuck. I am a cheerful person who always find ways of doing things, but when I have no options I feel stuck in a loop. I don't expect someone to help me, because I know that if I cant help myself, nobody can, but I just thought of this thing as an interesting topic for discussion. I am glad you find it interesting, 'coz obviously nobody else does :)
Thank you for your response

You're right there. Music, talking to people, and watching movies that have a positive effect really works to battle the blues. Eating helps, but I make sure I eat the right food in the right amount. It's easy sometimes, but difficult at times too. Cause there are just days when I don't even want to wake up and I try to sleep all day and all night. Sometimes it just takes a lot of effort to fight depression.
