Owning a lab

We have always had a Lab and I think that they make excellent pets.They are indeed quite playful and they are very good companions.The only problem which I think that there is with them is that they have a tendency to be obese.So you will have to watch out the eating pattern.
Ideally,their ribs should be seen otherwise they will become overweight and lazy.
They need a lot of exercise and they are fun to be with.

I have a 2 year old yellow lab. He is a handful, very rambunctious and inquisitive. He is definitely a sweetheart and loves everybody. He does need a ton of exercise though. Also, because labs have big floppy ears they can get ear infections, so make sure to clean out their ears regularly. They do make great family dogs.

we have a red lab/retriever and ont know what we would do without him. he is so loyal and gentle very smart and learned discipline immediatly he was in an outdoor kennel most of his life and when we got him he became an indoor dog he loves playing outside with our 7 year old and has never been aggressive or rough with him or our other pets

labradors are great dogs but they require alot of work they are very playful and active even when they grow out of the puppy stage they require one to two hours at least of stimulous exercise daily and even once they are out of the puppy stage they still like to chew they are not agressive at all they are good for older children simply because they are big dogs and may accidently step on or knock over small children i recommend obedance training that will help you to bond with your dog
