look alike dolls are being made for children. I was wondering what kind of |

| | I like dolls and played with them when I was a child. I am now grown up and I still like collectors type dolls. I have two antique dolls called Katie and Penny. I collect costume dolls from different countries. I love traveling so I have built up many in my collection. I think it is terrible when a child dies. I like to see happy children leading enjoyable lives. | | | | | | |

| | My wife has a doll that is around 60 years old. She has tried to find out what it is called as she thinks her mother called it a Roberta doll because she had a girl by that name and it looked a lot like the baby girl. We also have dolls that are around 35 years old that belong to our daughters. | | | |

| | Demi Moore has or had a house in Hailey just for all her dolls. I never really look to see what the house looked like or how big it was because I didn't really care. I don't think they ever opened it to the public. Now I did go into their pizza house and fast food restaurant. They also owned a theater and dance hall but I never went in there. | | | |

| | I guess I'm having a hard time seeing this cause any problems. It could potentially if a child dies and a parent is having a traumatic time with it(any parent would). I don't think it would affect the child by it looking like the child. Children should learn early to love themselves and what they look like. | | | | | | |

| | That was one of the criticism the expert gave and that is children are self centered already and the doll would make them more so. Do you agree or not. | | | |

| | I disagree. I do believe some kids are too self centered. But I don't think a doll is going to cause that. | | | |

| | Dolls have been blamed for a lot of things so I am sure someone will blame these dolls for something or other. | | | |

| | my nine year has a doll that is called my twin, you send in a picture of your child an they make the doll look like your child, however its not 100% look alike, your child is a one of a kind and no matter how close manufactors come to sayng the doll will look like your child it won't. and if the case that a child passes, you can always just put the doll away. i have alot of dolls from my childhood years and some are still in new condition i just pass them to other children in the family or just have them put in the attic. | | | | | | |

| | Some might put the look alike doll up to remind them of the passing child. What could be a result of doing this? | | | |

| | When my girls were little, I thought it was a great idea. I guess it might be a sad reminder if a child dies, but no more than a photo or a video, I would think. | | | | | | |

| | Having dolls that look like your child is nothing new. Back in the middle 80s they could be had. I have a doll from the Franklin Mint that looks jut like one of my granddaughters. I could send in pictures of the rest for dolls that look like them. It's the same as having a picture of the child only in 3 dimension. The people that set around and worry about these things need to get a life. If a child feels the need to be the center of attention a doll that looks like her isn't going to make any difference. | | | | | | |

| | You are probably right about people getting a life instead of worrying about things like this but someone worried enough to put it on the news. One woman answered that makes sense in that the dolls while they may look a little like the child they really aren't that close to really looking like the child. | | | |
