What I did New Years eve  

Aww, I am sorry you were sick, I have been there before, sick on christmas or new years and it is not any fun..:(
At least you have a computer, I would have to watch tv or something if I had to be up sick..

I was sick on Christmas AND New Years. Talk about not fun. I am feeling a little bit better now, but not great. Thanks for the well wishes.

We did, the Buffet was only $5 and a little change per person and they had at least 20 choices of food to eat. Drinks were extra and $4.50, but if you had tea (like my husband) refillable, if you had juice like me, not.

DVDs were free and ones he had for a long time. So if we had known about the drinks (most are around $2.00 and many are refillable in our area) and just ordered water, the entire thing could have been a little over $10. Actually, I think the drinks were around 2 because the bill came to $14.99 (so both drinks together must have been $4.50). At any rate, of course there was the tip, but most places around here were charging $30 for New Year's Eve stuff, but that included dancing and we didn't dance at the Chinese Res., but we can do that for free at home.

So did you and your family have a good time for New Years?

We watched my sons games and then talked to my daughter for a few minutes, then we went to bed..Must be getting too old anymore..lol

That stinks. I missed our normal toast. I can't complain though. last year he was in boot camp for New Years and I missed his call home that they let the married guys do. This year was a much better New years! Next year we'll be back to drinking the bubbly, I won't be pregnant and he won't be on medication for his shoulder.

I don't think it is bad to occasionally have a forbidden snack, that keeps you from binging on those things when you crave them..I am glad you enjoyed your treats and hope you are back to eating healthy again..:)

grin.... not entirely back to healthy eating again due to stress (at work not home. My home situation does not bother me at all), but on a good way for sure.

I miss my neighbors who used to throw a party every year, but they have quit since their youngest went off to college..

Hey Raz, one of my fav friends who I have not heard from in a long time...How have you been? Hope you had a good hanukkah, I had a really good one this year, so peaceful and fun..:) (And I still use some of those recipes you shared with me..:) )

The game was animal crossing, a game where you have this town and you just go down to this spot in your town and there are 3 of your 12 neighbors there dancing and waiting for the midnight hour. Then this sign appears that says "Happy New Year."

It was silly, but my 7 y/o loved it..:)

We usually do fireworks, but our neighbor had lost her mother on the 27th, so in respect for her we didn't do anything too noisy..

Some in the States also do fireworks and we usually do too except we didn't this year out of respect for our neighbor who lose her mother on the 27th..
