I was at Walmart the other day and came across a wonderful new thing for Morgana. It’s called a cat cube. I bought it, brought it home, and when I took it out of the box, it snapped right open. It’s about 2’ all the way around and has 4 sides, a top and a bottom. Three of the sides have openings and the other side, bottom and top are all solid. It’s really sturdy but also lightweight. Her’s is blue with yellow trim on it and she just loves it. She plays in it all the time and gets going so much that she flips it right along the floor with her in it. She also likes to lay in it and sleep sometimes and she’ll hide in it and leap out at you when you walk by. I’m going to stitch some felt strips to the inside that will hang down so she can play with them when she’s in it. It really is a neat toy and you can buy additional cubes and sit them side-by-side or a tube that hooks between them for the cat to run through…I just bought the one cube to see if she would like it. I’m definitely going to get her more. The best part is…it was only like $3.00! You can’t beat that.
Would you buy a cube for your cat? What about building them their own little maze to play in?

Wow, it looks very cool twoey! We don't have a wallmart here in Holland, but I would definatly buy it if I saw something similar on sale here for such a great price.
It sounds like something my cats would thoroughly enjoy aswell. They love to cram themselves into little spaces, lol.

I have been considering buying one of these for our cats. I didn't realize that it cost so little. Because money is tight I haven't been buying for the cats as much as I have in the past. This is affordable though. They do enjoy boxes and this would be a fun thing for them. And, if they don't play with it, at least it didn't cost a lot.

I bought the same thing some time last year, but I had to throw it away. For what ever reason one of my cats thought it was the litter box. I think she must have thought it was the same blind as what is over the litter box. Me and hubby did built the cats a play house out of plywood and carpet. It is two 2' cubes on top of each other, then an A frame on top of that. We tried to put their food in the bottom cube but it was hard to keep clean so we keep the food and water on the outside of the house.

that's cute:)
i can't trust my boys with those though.any kind of fabric type tube they tend to jump on top of and bushwack the other cats..they're both heavy,so it's not a good idea LOL
they do better with the cat tree type things..at least they can't collapse them

hi twoey from what you describe that sounds ideal for a cat'
and I can just visualize Morgana playing inside it, and
having so much cat fun. whoever designed that must have
known what cats like and made it with that in mind. It
does sound like its made just for cats. If I had a cat, which
I cannot asit would increase my rent, I would definitely
buy her a cat cube just like that.

Harmony doesn't play much. Occassionally she'll snag a used kleenex and play floor hockey with it, but that's rare. My cousin's cat loves to play with toys, however, and got a squeaky parrot with real feathers for a tail for Christmas and seemed to really like it. She also likes to take things and hide them.
