The New York Knicks wins it's biggest game after more than 13 years! |
| |
| After a series of really bad seasons, the New York Knicks seems to head to better days this season. As of this moment, the Knicks holds a 14-20 record and is just a few steps away from making it to the Eastern Conference's top 8. It seems that Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni are really doing wonders for the Knicks already and nothing comes close and better than their recent 132-89 victory over the Indiana Pacers. Yes, the Knicks 43 point win over the Pacers was the largest winning margin they ever had for more than 13 years. The last time the Knicks won a game by at least 43 points was against the Toronto Raptors back in April 15, 1996, the Raptors first season in the NBA. David Lee is starting to ice himself as one of the premier big men in the NBA and he finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds in the win. Both Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari are also making their names this season and both finished well. Chandler finished with 23 points while Gallinari had 20. Al Harrington has also been a solid reliever for the Knicks and he finished with 15 points in just 17 minutes of action. The game was already over a few minutes after it started. The Knicks jumped to a 38-16 first quarter lead and never bothered to look back. They even stretched the lead to as large as 48 points, the largest lead any team had this season. The Knicks fell 5 points short of tying their franchise record for a winning margin with 48 points, done 3 times in the franchise's history. The Knicks had a 48 point lead with 3:15 left in the game but the Pacers managed to cut it to 43 as soon as the buzzer sounded. The Knicks broke the Golden State Warriors' 45 point lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves as the largest lead in a single game. | | | | | |

| | It certainly shows that when they get it together they are potentially a very impressive team. If they can sort out their defense then they could be a surprise team in the East. | | | | | | |

| | Al Harrington and Nate Robinson had 40 point nights this season plus David Lee and Danilo Gallinari are really playing good and somewhat consistent basketball. I'm just thinking, if the Knicks will be this good this season, probably ending near .500 after 82 games and end up tabbing LeBron James in the 2010 free agency pool, it's going to be some serious Big Apple pride once again. James, Lee, Gallanari, and maybe a better than Chris Duhon point guard from the free agency or a trade will really put the Knicks back to the NBA radar once again. Donnie Walsh is really doing a great job as a GM. | | | |

| | I think Al Harrington and Nate Robinson are both very good players but I don't think it's a given that LeBron James is going to New York Knicks in the summer. He is from Akron so he obviously has an attachment to the state of Ohio. They certainly need someone who is known for their defensive skills as however good they are going forward they will always have games where they give up points too easily. | | | |

| | i am happy for your team. it looks like the knicks needs more win like this to boost their record and confidence. it will be better if they do not only qualify for the top eight, but break the .500 win-loss record. the core of a good team is now with the knicks. they also have the support of the adoring fans. they only need to win more games like what happened with the pacers' game. | | | | | | |

| | Impressive win for the Lakers indeed, congratulations. Well, as the defending champions I think they are making a very solid statement. They lost to the Suns and they had a very close one against the Kings. | | | |

| | Kobe Bryant is showing and proving that the Lakers is still the top team in the NBA right now. Though they are suffering from some minor injuries and absences from some of their reliable players, they remained afloat and leads the NBA. It's all because of Bryant. Bryant also now leads the NBA in scoring with about 30 a game, taking the lead away from erstwhile leading scorer Carmelo Anthony. With more than a decade of NBA experience under his belt and the depth and the existence of scorers in the Lakers squad, it just shows how great Bryant is because he was still able to lead the NBA in scoring against younger and more athletic guys like Anthony, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade. At 31 years of age entering his 32nd this season, Bryant still has a lot of NBA glory days to come. A 2010 NBA title is highly probable and maybe even more to come. | | | |

| | I believe that the New York Knicks is a team with a lot of pride. They have showed in their game against the Indiana Pacers that can be a team to beat if they continue to play good basketball consistently. I just hope that their system will be going strong as D'Antonni calls the shots. It's good to know that the Knicks are winning some games after a forgetful season last nba season. | | | | | | |
