What do you think? I always felt like if I ate right I didn't need vitamins. However, recently I ran my self down by increases my running activity. I only have one adrenal gland and it was overworked to try to keep up with the increased activity. I started a vitamin this week. Do you think it will help at all or should I have saved my money?

I think added vitamins are a good idea, and I asked my Dr what kind I should be taking as a supplement. Some of them have added vitamins that exceed the daily requirement and are actually dangerous to go above the daily limits for too long. So, now I take a regular daily vitamin with added iron and calcium. Just what the Dr ordered lol (except I take generic and not a prescription.) I think no matter how hard we try, we can almost never get in the daily requirement of all the vitamins we need in a day. Personally, although I eat well, I know I don't get enough fruit, or even veggies. If I ate as much food as the food pyramid claims we need, I'd be eating all day (and feel stuffed to the gills haha). I used to always think I was eating well, until the Dr did some testing and we found out I was definitely low on a lot of different vitamins. I have to admit I do feel better taking my vitamins as a supplement. Have a nice day macdingolinger!

If I ate all we are supposed to I'd have even more trouble losing a few pounds! I eat pretty healthy and pretty much in a day too. Thanks!

I don't want to depend on the medicine if it is not necessary. We can obtain the necessary vitamins from the natural food. So I don't think it is good to take the vitamin pills. I regard it as a kind of medicine. Why not eat the healthy food instead of medicine? I love China

That's always been my philosophy as well. However, I am eating healthy but I am exercising much more. I also only have one adrenal gland and it gets stripped of potassium and things like that. A supplement is good in that case. I also think our food doesn't contain the nurtrients that it used to unless we can grow it ourselves or afford to buy organic. Thanks!
