Hatley dear, as I read, I visualized the fairy tale which tells how the prince comes and takes the hand of the pretty girl and escape on that horse....So the story came true in your life..We who got the second half of our life memorable are lucky. The old age can be spent in happy memories....You may be thanking God for all those 43 years, while people today cannot live together for 43 months. Ours is 31 and we asked for another 30....

Hi ckyera, Yes, at younger age we all are very much affected by what others say of think about us. It takes a long time to get the confidence that nothing should affect us. If we believe in ourselves, others too will believe in us.

i agree, and i guess its better that we can be just us...to be someone that we wanted to be and how people will see us...but there are times that i still mind what others say about me but it won't make me upset or what, i just consider it and ask myself if i am really guilty of it or what...and i do something a bout. i sometimes take some criticism into consideration coz sometimes it does help me improve myself...

yeah...i hope that we can really live happily ever after! and say to myself that yeah, fairy tales do come true!

yes ilove it but i received a comment from another friend saying that butterfly will be butterfly...it's kinda unique. so i responded by saying--i will let winking winky stays for a while and then may be later back to my old avatar as butterfly or have a new one but still a butterfly. do you have one with you?

Just go to google images and type butterfly, you will get thousands of pictures. Choose from them. Right click on the image, save, and get it uploaded in mylot. easy.

I loved the fairy tales when I read them to my children. When I was young we had the Panchatantra read to us by elders. They all have a moral to it. We don't understand the moral until we get older. But the impact of such stories is great on us.

Hi, Karen, Actually the fairy tales had a great impact on me. I was a lonely dreamy, insecure child. So I went through many rabbit holes of imagination like Alice, wished to be cindrella, snow white or sleeping beauty. I lived half my life in insecurity, in a fort of my own making. It wasn't a magic wand which woke me up, but a gradual realization that I was not one of the weak and useless. I know my worth now....Thank you karen. have a nice day.

Hi, I think we grow stronger as we get older. Our past experiences teach us. Now noone can make me feel inferior, though there was a time when I lived with many complexes.
Still I see that child who loved cindrella and Alice, in me.

Hi, but all are not born confident. The family atmosphere in childhood shapes a person. If you are lucky enough to get attention and care you grow confident and know what you want in life. The motivation for hard work is to be got from somewhere. I was always fascinated by the fairy tales.

Hi, A fairy tale like appearance of a prine charming who comes on a horse back and kill the witch to save may not happen in real life. But getting a life partner who helps you out of all insecurities and bring out the confidence in you is possible. That happened in my life. What I'm now is because of him. I learned to believe in myself and got a positive outlook to life.
