Plastic animals, birds

Playschool makes a toy called See and Say. It is a large toy they can hold with a string they pull. When string is pulled an arrow spins around and lands on an animal, the voice tells them the name of the pictured animal and then makes the sound that the animal makes. Little ones love it. Dont know if you have Playschool toys there but they are all learning things that are fun..Great item..

That will be a great idea. Making it possible for your grand daughter to imagine how a particular animals and veggies look like. just make sure the plastic are safe from any lead content that is harmful to kids.

Books of animals, veggies and fruits will also be useful. my kids were exposed to real animals when we went in the province--they're able to see and touch a rooseter, hen, chicks, goat, carabao, cow, birds, dragonfly, fireflies and butterflies.

That Audio CD is excellent. the sounds are relaxing and will really make them get familiar with how birds and other animals sound while looking at the picture in the book. Good luck.

its a nice way to introduce her to animals and other things around us. i think kiddie books are also good. also it has some stories therein and you can read it to her. am sure her eyes will be glued when she watches animals in the TV and audio CD.

that pretty good as it could makes your granddaughter no longer ignorant of the different animals found in natures since she could not visit the zoo, it is one way she could differentiate the animals by names and how they look. Then, with the audio cd you bought she could hear the different sounds produces by the animals. But it is better you also bought her a DVD where she could watch the animals in your television she could identify them better.

Sure it will help. So the next time she spots something like that in zoo, look grandpa that is such huge elephant, and it also walks! Look grandpa, that giraffe is so big, not like our small one. :) Kidding. :) I think she is too young to know the difference. She can however learn about fruits and other things. :) Hope they are not the toys that kids put in mouth. Some rubbers and plastics have toxic contents. :)

Hi Arun, It was an excellent idea to have purchased the plastic-zoo for your grandchild, You can also buy lovely colored books of Animals which are available in the market these days and children love going through them besides the CD also. They treasure the books and their belongings so well that you will be amazed seeing it. Good day to you.

My grandfather used to sit me on his lap and get this huge encyclopedia and turn to the animal section. There was a big color layout and he would unfold it and we would look at all the animals and practice their sounds...lol..this is a fond memory of mine. I actually learned to read at a very early age and I contribute this to his time and my animal studies.

So you are introducing different animals to your granddaughter in the form of plastic. So nice of you. Why you are worrying if there is no zoo near to your house? What is the need of Animal Planet, National geographical channel etc in TV. Zoo and jungles will be visible through this channel. Now she is too young and plastic is enough now, I think. Once she will start her play schooling she will learn everything from there.

When there is no zoo in the city, it is a good way to teach the kids to learn about those animals by watching TV or play with some plastic animal toys. It is easy this way. As kids grow, they will know more about them with the knowledge they have gained.
