But i am afraid it will destroy the little relationship we have. Have you guys have the same problem? what did you do? If you have solution please do share specially the second one where the dog takes a dump in front of the gate.. is there a way that it wont take a dump in my gate? should i put muriatic or what? any idea? thank you guys please help. | | whats wrong with me? | | | | |

| | WHen our neighbors dog did that we'd be out when it did and yell "GO HOME" long enough & loud enough the owner heard it. She never came to pick up the bm though, as she's in her upper 80's & is afraid to fall. But boy that dog snarled at me once and I am very cautious if I see that dog as it's a shepherd..... Other than catching the dog in action and maybe taking pics, spraying the garden hose at it, or gathering the leavings and leaving an anomous note on their door w/ the leavings and tell them to keep their dog on a leash & to clean up it's mess..... or as we've done sometimes we'd take a shovel when they weren't home and fling it back into their yard. Good luck! | | | | | | |

| | hI jcsayson is the dog in a yard or running loose? I mean why is it taking a dump in your yard, does it not have a yard of its own are you in apts or house? If its running loose call the police as dogs are not allowed to run loose like that, if they have a yard it has to be in its yard or on a leash, not just out bugging every one. there are ordinances in every city about dogs so check on that as they are to be kept quiet at night. They wont jail the dog but they will make the owners pick up its refuse and keep it contained and quiet at night, now day time no, cannot be done but you can talk civilly to the owners and work out some sort of compromise so you arent bugged earlyin the morning. | | | | | | |

| | I agree with Hatley. I think talking with dog owner politely first is the best way to start with since he or she has to be responsible to the dog's behaviour. Sometimes there will be some information on local council web page about how to solve these kinds of nuance, whom to contact and what action you are allowed to take. I hope it can be sorted soon. Best of luck! | | | |

| | Stay calm, never get your hands dirty by killing the dog.. Dogs are man's bestfriend, and bestfriends are best enemies. LOL. If I were you, I would juts be assertive. First, I would try to deal the problem with the dog's owner. If it would not work, then complain it to your place leaders or any department that would surely help you. Plant a bomb in your gate. | | | | | | |

| | Dogs that bark all the time is a sure nuisance. There is no alternative but to talk to those people. This is a must. There was an occasion once when my neighbour's music would drown our own. We called them over politely and asked them whose music they heard at our place and believe me it worked. You have to deal with the situation directly because it is your life that is getting affected on a day to day basis. | | | | | | |

| | Have you tried talking to this neighbor about his dog? If not i would try that first and see if that works before calling the police. If the problems persists then maybe you should consider calling the police but I don't think there is much they can do...I think they will give you neighbor a warning and then maybe if it persists it may turn to a fine but I am not sure if these problems will reslut in the dog being put in doggy jail. As for the pooping I am not sure what you are meaning by doing so in front of the gate is this a gate that seperates your two yards and the dog is pooping on your fence while in its yard or is it coming to your yard and doing his business? If it is the first case I am not sure what could be done because the dog is technically in its own yard but if it is the second of the two cases than the owner could probably get into trouble. I could be worng but I think that the only reason they would take the animal to the pound or "jail" would be if the animal was to harm someone....now don't quote me on that one because I could be completely wrong and I also think it has to due with what state you are in as well.... | | | | | | |

| | I agree with talking to the neighbor first and express the fact of what is bothering you and be sincere. If the neighbor goes on with not aiming to fix the situation then there is other measures to be thought of. May not be too appealing but I would scoop up the droppings and place them on the porch of the neighbor in question. Show them how that feels. Dominance with animals is not always the way to go and especially considering the owners blatant disregard for the animal. If you show compassion to the animal and walk it back to the property this could relieve some issues as well, but first talk to the neighbor for sure. | | | | | | |

| | Settle this thing down by talking first to the owner of the dog. Tell him what is the issue and remember to talk to him/her in a nice way. Never approach him like you're getting to explode. Just be cool then settle it down. if the owner does nothing to get this thing done, then go to legal people who'll help you (they may be local police, dog pound people, and others). I hope I did give you something useful. Hoping the best for you and your neighbor. | | | | | | |

| | muriatic? that's attempted murder.. LOL! poor doggie. better if you tell your neighbor frankly and honestly about his dog. include your plans of putting muriatic and other stuff. you see some neighbors are really stiff unless you tell them. good luck on the dog.. | | | | | | |
