How much do you spend on gifts for kids?   

I don't spend a set amount. I usually stick to the lower end of things though. I probably spend less than $20 most of the time. You don't have to spend a ton of money to get a nice gift.

When I am buying gifts for my own children or for my nieces, I am not nearly as strict on what I will spend on them. However, when I have to buy a gift for one of my children's friends, I try to stick to under ten dollars. I will buy something that is generally on clearance so I get a lot more bang for my buck. However, I also have to be very careful about how much money I spend on friends because my daughter is in a class with 27 other children and my son is in a playgroup with 100 families so we can be invited to a ton of parties over the course of a year.
