I have been following your vinyl postings mike and I must say i am enjoying it...loved the metallica posting today...seek and destroy...THAT was when Metallica was METALLICA. It's amazing how even in digital reproduction, vinyl still maitains that...certian something, white noise and all. Still love it.

My father-in-law would call that loud, rotten music.

George was telling me about how his friend Kenny could take the audio from his records and upload it on the computer. Of course listening to anything George says when it comes to technology is enough to make me laugh because he doesn't really understand anything when it comes to that kind of stuff. He simply asked me if I could, and with the equitment he has (which is broken) I had to tell him 'no'. So he's going to have to wait until we get enough money to replace it in order for me to do anything.

Though if I ever do, I'll share it of course.

Thanks for this, I never knew people uploaded their Vinyl to Youtube. I might even give it a bash myself. I always loved my record collection even though I have replaced most of it on CD but I do agree with you there is just something so sweet about vinyl. I must dig out the old record and tape collection and go through it.

I was working in Detroit and the company sent me to electronics school for a year. this 1966 and we had to choose a project! I picked a heath kit amplifier! LOL! The range in the reproduction of the sound blew me away I got speakers that had the range to match the amp. out put, and the Bass was so low that you couldn't hear it but you could feel it! The high treble was beyond what the ear could hear! All my friends were blown away, it was the best of the best! that was back in the day! ( Thanks for the link!) tdemex

I too miss the sound of vinyl. I have good collection of records that are in storage. The problem is that I don't have a record player nor do I have the funds to purchase one. I'll have to check out the youtube and get my fix.

I visited my brother this fall and we spent an evening listening to stacks of old 45's, it was really cool. I miss vinyl, myself.

i love old jazz (everr heard of Bobby Troupe [from the tv show Emergency! - mid 70s] he wrote Route 66 in 1946!) and a variety of music (Chinese, Hungarian, Jewish etch) and youtube is the best place to hear it.
