|  Which type of TV do you have @ home and which one you like most and which one you are planning to purchase in next? we do have LCD LG TV with 32" but now I think it is little small so I am planning to have one with Bigh size..
Share your opinion.. which one you like most and which company you will prefer to purchase. I will prefer to but Sony, Sumsung. LG. What is ur favorite TV company?

| |  I own an LCD 32 inch tv, it's enough for my house. I don't think anyone would want to buy CRT now days, especially when big screens TV's are very popular now days. Big CRT weight hell of a lot there there is no reason to buy it.

| | yeah You are 100% right. Now days no one would like to purchase CRT TV not just because it has more weight but also that he consumes more power also. One of the reason why I purchased is that only.

| |  i have a 10 years old 32" sony crt tv that i fear might have made its time since it is starting to have some problems, i will probably have to replace it soon, i am thinking to buy a 32" led lcd, led should be bettter than normal lcd because it has better contrast and a lower power consumption. I am still uncertain about the brand of the tv to buy, i've heard good things about samsung and sharp tv's but i still don't know.

| | Right. Sumsug has more reputation then any other Brand. I have heard that there are only 1-2 company which actually manufacture LCD main Panel and other Barnds just use it and sell it under their brand. In those 1-2 Sumsung us one which make their own LCD Panel and Sony, and other uses the same Panel for their LCDs.

| |  I like LED TV very much ,because the LED TV technology is better than the LCD TV ,LED TV had a Light Emitting Diode technology so the picture clarity of the LED TV, is superb if get a chance, i wish ti buy only LED TV, so, this is my opinion about the LED TV.

| | yeah Agree, I have heard of LED TV from LG and other company but never seen it and used it. May be the picture quality is more in LED but then what about the Power consumption? Is it less in case of LED or it is same as LCD.? | | | |

| | For PC monitor i like lcd and for using as a TV i like CRT monitor.A 32" CRT monintor costs way less than a 32" LCD monitor.EVen though it is said taht lcd has better lifespan than crt, an lcd monitor is 3 times costlier than a crt tv.And i wouldn't prefer any brand except Videocon. | | | | | | |

| | Where i live it is quite impossible to still find crt's on sale in the shops. The only tv that can be bought are normal lcd and led ldc's... The price is usually reasonable 400-500€ for a 32" non led lcd and 7-800€ for a led lcd. If we compare that to what tv's used to cost some years ago there is not much to complain about.
I just doubt that those tv's will last as long as old crt's used to last. I have old crt's that have been working without problems for decades, i just don't think that even the best lcd can compete with that. | | | |

| | Ravi_s2025, agree with you. It has very high cost than any other TV but when it comes to power consumption, LCD is better than CRT.
And we know now because of Global Warming we have to save power. I agree with you but still I prefer to have LCD and not CRT. Yeah when we don't have Money then we can think of having one CRT TV.

There is no much difference in power consumption. A 29" CRT tv consumes 180W (with 1000watts speaker) and a 32' LCD consumes about the same power..There is not much difference.Even though CRT is bulky ,it shows the same colour irrespective to the angle from which you view the TV.But in LCD if you watch it from a side,you wont see the colours well.sometimes it will be like fully dark.
Price of a 29' LG TV is around $300 and that of a 32" LCD TV is around 800$! (power consumption of LCD tv is about 200W and that of CRT is 180W!!!) | | | |

| |  At present, we only have CRT TVs at home, I think when it goes bad I'll change to have a LCD TV, brands like Sharp, which is a really good and expensive brand in LCD TV, philips is also a good brand. Good luck to you!

| | yeah I think you should go for the Samsung or LG or Sony. They have good quality LCD TVs. I got mine from LG and it beed 2 years now and working fine without any problem.

| | yeah we had CRT a very old TV like some 17 years old TV and then we changed it to Sony CRT TV and then to now we have LCD TV.. and I like a lot.
Sumsung has a very Good picture quality.. I agree with you.
