| |  As it has been posted a lot on the Internet Obama bashed Brown's use of his truck many times in his support speech for Coakley which was stupid as Brown said in rebuttal not many people can afford to buy a (new) truck. The stupid parts was that Brown's truck is a GM and the government now owns GM so Obama should be praising the old truck to encourage people to buy GM ...NOT bash it.

| |  Seriously, Rose, who CARES what kind of vehicle a candidate drives or whether or not they hunt or carry rifles? You don't have to drive a truck or hunt to be a "real American". Here in the United States we have all kinds of people with all kinds of tastes who talk in all kinds of ways!
My problem with politicians is when they try to appear to be someone they're not as in pretending they do (or don't) drive particular types of vehicles or that they like (or dislike) certain things.
Are you saying you talk like Sarah Palin? I thought she had a VERY unique way of talkin'...lol!

| | You kind of lost me with our comment, Rose. The point I'm trying to make is that it shouldn't matter what kind of vehicle a candidate drives, what he or she likes to do in his or her spare time, what they like to eat or how they talk. To myself and others in my part of Pennsylvania, I have no accent but to people from other places, people who DO have an accent in my opinion, it's ME that talks funny. That's one of the great things about America, we're different and we can learn from each other to try and do new things.

| | That's interesting, Lamb. It sounds like he may actually be willing to work with both parties. I heard him say today that his state has a good health care plan that covers just about everyone so it doesn't seem like people voted for him because they're unhappy with their plan unless they didn't do their homework very well!

| |  Annie are you ready for a shocker about the Massachusetts health care plan??? It was Mitt Romney. Go figure huh. Anyhow I will give you an example of how Mass residents are charged on a certain income. 55 thousand a year they have to pay about 250 a month for a couple through the connector. The sad part is that with all the unemployment and peoples insurance lapsing many people will be fined. I wish instead of them fining people which if I am not mistaken come right out of your taxes if you have something coming back to you.. Instead I think they should take that money and apply it to the year ahead giving people the headstart on paying for health insurance. Now if they do not continue with the health insurance after that then get them the following year. I have always had the choice of doctor that I wanted as well, If I am ill I can call and be seen that day. If the doc request an mri it takes just a couple of days if it is not an emergency. The co pays are very low as well.

| | Oh, yeah life goes on I think from this outcome that people voted in his favor because the democrats had a lot of power and was fearful I have known when repuplicans had it that way and was fearful and that caused the outcome of the vote or it could have been that Ted Kennedy was so good at what he did was so well liked as a politican and he was a democrat that happened to live in Massachuetts at the time and leaves a legacy.Sometimes a canadate gets lucky and steals one lets hope he can carry on that success as the newly electe senator. | | | | | | |
