Pool party................. Have you known what is this?  

I have not been to a pool party because majority of my friends and colleagues don't have pools in their homes. We usually go to a pub or karaoke bar to have a good time. Besides, i don't think it's wise to combine sexy ladies in the pool and alcohol at the same time because you're inviting disaster. Especially if you start to do body shots .

party at the pool? yes I know about it ... but for my country, Indonesia, pool party invitations still need to dress decent as usual. not wearing a bikini

Hey Angela, this is quite a common way of holding a party where I live (only in summer). It sometimes ends in most of the people sleeping over because they have had some alcohol, and the clothes are wet (or removed ;-).
In my teenage days I lived near a big lake and we would sometimes spend a weekend at the lake which would always end up with a "skinny dip" party on the Saturday evening. Great fun.

well i have heard about pool party at at the same time seen it....there was a film which i saw where those mutimillionare people was dancing drinking and kissing in the pool wearing bikinis and vests....thats what is pool party but i never attended anything of that sort.actually didnt get any invitation so far as this type pf parties are not that much common here....

I have not heard about pool parties (poor mev). I think those who get to enjoy pool parties in summer are really lucky persons and as they can enjoy dip in the water and can have some sumptous food with dear friends. I hope that very close group of friends participate in these kind of parties and they do not feel any kind of inhibition in wearing bikni or jeans etc. in such parties.

Honestly i am not a party person, so it goes without saying that i have never been in a party like you have mentioned. But it sounded like so very interesting to me.

I love party so much and I used to party a lot when I was still in College. I was able to attend a pool party but it was not that kind where people needs to weak skimpy tank tops and bikini. I am a member of Sorority in our School and my brods and sisses love to party a lot. There will be lots of beers in can and we would threw it in the pool so that those who don't want to get wet will have no choice but to dive in the pool and get a beer. Hahahaha! We usually do this type of party in one of our brod's or sis' house. Sometimes we would go out of town. We would go to one of the private resorts owned by one of our brods or sisses. We will build bonfire near the shore, seat in circles while we drink, and sometimes people don't even make it inside the rest house and just fall asleep outside. That was a long time ago. I don't enjoy that type of party anymore. I still go out with my friends but usually there will be no alcohol at all. Everything has changed since I became a mother. :)

A party is way of get-together. So parties have always the protocols. As the pool party demands a particular place, special dress code and a season also, I think it is of any advantageous to people but recreation some party animals. I love to celebrate parties only at home with friends and relatives. Some times a dance and dine at any Hotel only with business clients. One uncommon party I accidentally attended was a wedding ceremony party by grandparents in an airplane.

I've definitely been to my share of pool parties, but never have I seen that the required attire for a female was a bikini. If that was the case, then I would not show up at all. When I was growing up, my cousin's birthday party was always a pool party because they had a swimming pool in their back yard. In fact, we also had family reunion pool parties and graduation pool parties and more. It was just a way of life for us having a family member that had a very nice pool in their yard.
