The story progression is feature of sims 3 that should be off forever. Never used it because its unenjoyable. It will delete families you created and they automatically create families you don't wanted. Another bad thing about it is your single sims will have babies without a spouse. They also mess up the storyline you wanted to do with your neighborhood. I don't use the default communities they have because I downloaded this custom empty neighborhood that i will populate instead. Remember always keep the story progression off.
I'll be trying your way to shut it off.That really agravated me that it made my sim run off and get married and have a baby.But I'll let you know if it works for me.Thanks
Have you patched your game already? I heard the patch solves everything but you cannot use the slider cheats with it.
