The attacks happen to what is called a soft target,

This is people who appear to have valuables on them as do Indian Students,
Laptops, a number of mobile phones (I have know Idea why they have more than one phone) I-pods, money.

The other is Taxi Drivers, who get hit for the money they have in fares,
Many Taxi Drivers are Indian Students. The Taxi's always have been hit no matter who the driver is.

To this we have Gang war fare attacks on the Indian Students, These are the same gangs who go to the Soccer and who recently went to the tennis to disrupt it.

Some of the Trouble is over seas when they say Australian most people think WHITE, Well I can assure you it is not the WHITES.
They may call them self Australian but they are of a new other culture here,

However the main paper in India does not make that clear when it reports these attacks.

However their (Paper) main interest is to sell papers and do not care who they hurt,

I do hope you may see not all you read in the paper and hear on TV news is totaly correct.

So its kind of unruly teenagers and youth going on rampage? Maybe they feel that if they attack the local whites, they'll land in more trouble than attacking Indian students? Nevertheless, I feel such elements are there in every society and they do harbour a racist feeling which might be due to their upbringing and lifestyle and unwelcome influences! I'm sure they have no support from the majority and that's they way it should be

Some stay in their little groups and very rare to learn the laws and general customs.

But the easy way for the new comer is to go to the football, join the club as a member, be one of the crowd so to speak.

Go out shopping to the big markets, mix and talk to any one.

This way you find new friends fast, you learn that not all are very much different than you are.

This is an example of how the Vietnamese fit into the Australian way of life, it works and good on them.

Everyone has fun and no trouble. Just great.

It is a good way to settle differences, These give an understanding of the other person and when that happens you are less like to hate them,

You may not love them but you sure will not hate them and that's good as you will have some form of respect for each other.

I go by train, far cheaper and I can read the paper on the way, coming home I can eat food from some other cultures, Good life this way.

I do Surveys and Out of Stock Counts in major stores.
I count what is not there, ha ha.

The Hare Krishna have a temple here (Melb) also and have meals for the public.
I think that is on a donation also.

I must find where they are and go. I have been meaning to do that for a long time.

In recent times we have been getting some bad press from India.
However the media there only tell the story as they want and that is to sell papers and TV ratings.

Their is two sides to every story, Only yesterday an Indian person was found guilty here for making a false reports re an attack, where he had petrol poured over him in a car and set alight.

It was found he did this himself, to claim money for the burnt out car of his.

But I am sure India Media will not publish this story.

We are a Multi Cultural Country and in most areas we work all well with each other.
We do find when new people come here the first few years are hard for them as maybe from their history from the old Country they do not know who to trust and Governments seem to be the main issue.

Our Government here Will drive you mad but on all they are very fair in most cases, but some times the paper work does take time to be done.

Newcomers think this is against them, it is not it is the way we do things.

I love all the new cultures that come here to live and those who do mix with all, I find the food, cloths, music and them all wonderful as it gives me a better understanding of what we call MAN.
