Guides and tutorials are prohibited to post?  

I see now what makes my tutorial get deleted, there is a part in my tutorial where in a make a simple review on the site, but how come my friends post been deleted is there anything to do with the title? he post it like this way "guides for dummies" how is that for a title will they considered it as violation? Guide me my friend for I have been making my tutorials on note pad and planning to share it here but I don't know if will continue it!

As much as possible I'm trying to limit my discussion that i've started regarding making money online but I can't stay long in other categories for this is where I belong this is my field and not in the movies or making friends etc.

Can you break this tutorial into different sections and make each part into a discussion in any way? Of course if it points your blog or your site or to an article that you have on another site then it would be a violation because that would be considered as advertising.

Well, I guess you're right. MyLot needs quality discussions.
So let me search these quality discussions that perfectly match the guidelines.

4) Why we ask question to others? (3 days ago)

Well, I could continue, but I prefere to stop here. Due you're from biella, I would like to say... quality discussions = quality TV programs like amici (friends), grande fratello (big brothers), uomini e donne (men and women), and so on?

Maybe they should better define what a quality discussion is. Seems they care much more to ban any discussion that could focus the people attention to other sites ;)

I know quality discussions is a point of view. From my point of view, in an interest section called "make extra money" or "make money" I would love to find some "quality discussions" that explain me how maximize my earnings giving me some good tips about this topic.

Pierone I am a user like you and I too am often exasperated by the definition of quality. Then I put myself in myLot's shoes and try and understand better. I am aware that we cannot advertise (believe me I would love to do so as you might be aware but I refrain from doing so in the discussions).

The discussions about maximising our earnings here on myLot often appear in the mylot interest where I see you do not participate often if indeed ever. I have contributed to them too.

Here in 'make extra money' we can discuss 'how' but we cannot mention 'where' if we are recruiting or advertising for our personal gain. Whatever we post must be in the form of a disussion.

I hope Admin Alice will see this and come and explain as she can do it so much better than I can.

The other thing to bear in mind, Pierone, is that MyLot are human and by no means omniscient. The discussions you list have slipped through the net, as it were. In due course they will be picked up and deleted. Why, may I ask, if you saw them as being against the Guidelines, did you not report them yourself, as we are asked to do ... in the Guidelines?

It is as much up to us, the users, to uphold the standards as it is to MyLot. Many people seem to have the impression that MyLot is like a pupil/teacher relationship - that they make the rule and that it is up to anyone to try and get round them. Anyone who thinks like that has really not left school (and nor did they have the right attitude to school or authority in the first place).

pierone, at first glance the discussions you listed don't appear to be quality discussions. If you truly feel they aren't then please report them. Once we receive the reports we'll determine if they are quality contributions. I do believe that most people's definition of "quality" is the same and aside from what's already in the guidelines, no further definition is required.

Discussions about other websites are welcome here. I cannot stress that enough. We like competition. Competition is a very healthy way to grow.

mysdianait and pierone, discussions in the money making interests about maximizing earnings are very appropriate. However, posts where the sole purpose is to recruit, solicit referrals, or advertise are not allowed; it doesn't matter whether you mention the name of a website or program - soliciting is NOT allowed in discussions.

Well, Alice, I've reported several discussions that for my opinion aren't quality discussions.
Due opinions are vary, I will assume that if these discussions of "well known and high reputation score members" will be not deleted, it means anyone could make a similar discussion (obviously about another topic) without see his own discussion deleted.

To be clear, supposing I've reported a discussion titled "Do you watch a lot of foreign movies?", with a text like this "I like watching foreign movies, especially Hollywood movies. I think Hollywood movies have a great effect all over the world. ", posted by a member with a 10 star and more than 15 thousands post. Supposing this discussion got more than 40 responses and, obviously this was paid by myLot to the member posted the discussion.
Now, if this discussion I've reported will be not deleted, I'll feel free to post a discussion like "do you listen a lot of foreing music", with a 2 lines text, expecting NOBODY will delete my discussion!

Otherwise means there is a discimination among members, because I've already reported that discussion and that one was not deleted.

Similar discussions, same guidelines, should have same destiny.
Please, Alice, tell me if I'm wrong. Because sometimes I feel here in myLot like a black man in a south US state in the '50es. But I'm sure you're not doing any kind of discimination among members, no matter if they are at their first post or they already posted 20 thousands, no matter if their reputation is 3 or 10. Isn't it?
Wish to read your answer, because, to be sincere, seems the comunication with members is not an excellence point of myLot.

pierone, there's no such thing as "star prejudice" or "star racism" or "star discrimination" when it comes to reviewing discussions for quality and determining what gets deleted and what doesn't. What DOES exist is a lack of time. We can only do so much in a day. If we don't get to it today, we'll get to it tomorrow, and if we don't get to to it tomorrow, then it will wait another day. The other thing that happens is that many members - for whatever reason - simply don't feel like reporting even though they know the discussions don't comply with our guidelines.

I've deleted MANY discussions from members who had a blue star and user ratings well over 10,000. I've canceled members who have had a user rating of well over 10,000. Abuse is abuse, plain and simple.

Thanks mysdianait for the advice, I'll check my profile as soon and fix it.
And for sure, I will report any discussions, response, comment that could not match the quality requirement or could go against the guidelines.

Exactly you are right that a party is not a classroom that is why I posted it on a right place where people are looking for answers. What would you feel if the question you see every day is being answered by a single post and all you have to do is participate and see others idea on that thread. Just like hitting two birds in one stone.

I´d be so happy if there was a way to "talk" to mylot about the discussion with a problem before it was deleted. I think (my way of seeing it) that if a discussion has many answers and some of those answers create a thread, then the discussion can´t be so bad. Can´t it?
But that is asking too much. The site would have to have a lot of people ckecking every post. One or two times I had a post deleted and then it appeared again. I wonder if that is magic.

I know for myself that I followed the guidelines, I clearly stated on my discussion that this is I'm not encouraging anyone to join I'm just here to give them a more quality discussion I make it clear so that my reader would not think that it is a kind of advertising. I reviewed my post 3 times before I posted it, that was supposed to be a part of my ebook but I share it to everyone here in mylot because every day I seen post on the discussion people asking "how will I earn money online" or "is this sites is a scam" or "how will I get referrals". I only answer this question for them by posting a guides and tutorials. My first post was good many peoples like it they even thank me for sharing my ideas. I'm so glad that those people likes my ideas & I want to continue my posting of tutorials and guides because every day I have met new friends. Ok! I will try to post another guides and take a screen shot and copy of the guides then once it get deleted I'll send you the copy and can you tell me what is wrong with it so that I can improve it and avoid those things that cause my post deleted. Is that ok?

The sheer number of insanely repetitive "how do I make money online?" questions need answers, I agree. I really liked the suggestion you received up above about breaking your tutorials into sections and creating real discussions out of them. What do you think?

Don't forget, you also have plenty of space on your profile to add text. I see you've master the links. Why not add some content there too?

Do you mean put links of my tutorials in my profile then suggest people to view it? But that may look like I'm violating the guidelines asking people to view my profile. I'll just try your suggestion and thanks for the idea.

What I was suggesting is that you place excerpts of your guides on your profile so that anyone who happens upon your profile will see how much knowledge you have to share.

I answered the pizza-pasta post and found it interesting enough as to give ideas of how I used leftovers from pasta whereas pizza is to just eat right then. We joked about pierone being incapable of leaving leftovers. We talked as we would in my house at a gathering. This is what I feel about mylot: a gathering of people talking about something that interests a group. That post was not a poll and pierone was notpromoting a brand of pizza or pasta. I found it interesting.
It was deleted, but not from my computer. If I could be of any help, I could do a copy-paste of if so that the authority at mylot checks it again.

I don't intend to apply for ehow, you must know how high is their qualification for making guides I already apply for them twice but got rejected so why would I bother If I'm already here in mylot. Thanks for sharing those sites.

I've searched before I posted it, there are responders in my discussion the only thing is that I answer the question which is being asked everyday in this section of make extra money then if that thing is wrong then I'll accepted it to be deleted.
