The Secret Life of Walter Mitty  |

|  This is a movie I am kind of excited to see. I looked up on IMDb what Mike Myers was up to and this movie description sounds interesting:
"The remake of the 1947 film about Walter Mitty, a milquetoast man who lives life vicariously through daydreams in which he envisions himself in a series of heroic, fantastic personas."
But I admit, I do want to see the original. Has anyone seen the original? I'm curious. I'm not big on remakes, BUT...Mike Myers is one of my favorites so I gotta check it out!

| |  I read this short story when I was in high school. I really liked it and thought it would be a good movie. I didn't think that there was a movie about it before. There were news before that jim carrey was going to play walter mitty but I guess mike myers would also be a good choice.

| | You should definitely see the original! Even tho it's from the 1940's and in black and white if I recall properly, it's a classic in my book! It's very funny and I don't recall the main actor's name but he is just perfectly cast!
I think Mike Myers might do a great job as long as he isn't too over the top with his comedic timing. I'll have to check that one out to see if I'd want to see that one too! And I agree about remakes, many times they are just a shadow of the original and rarely better. Take care!! | | | | | | |

| | I'm with ya there, Jim Carrey is so amazingly talented. The original Walter was a mousy looking fellow that was pretty much afraid of his own shadow so I hope they include that. You can likely find it on the web for download and I think you'll really enjoy it! I love black and white movies too,,,tho I don't do subtitles! | | | |

| | Absolutely!! Harvey is another wonderful movie that captures the sense of lighthearted entertainment from the 1940's. I also love Abbott and Costello, tho I was very sad to hear that Lou Costello was supposed to be a raging drunk, really mean and hard to work with. But it does in that case, show what a great actor he was! And it's very hard to seperate the true from the tales in any Hollywood actor's story. | | | |
