Do you store all photos on your computer or store them in a box in the house?  

Our photos are store in a fire proof safe, on cd's, and on an external hard drive. You can never be to safe on where you keep your pictures as well as having back ups.

I don't like to keep mine on CD because sometimes when you go back to access them, they are not accessible after all and you have lost them.
We have a box full of photographs.
My husband likes to print some out when we have managed to take a very nice shot but a lot of the time they don't even get kept.
I think since the introduction of digital cameras, it has freed people to take as many pictures as they like without having to think about the expense of processing and printing them and then having hundreds of not very interesting pictures just because they had cost us money to have.
I worked in photography for a long time and realised that the professional photographers didn't take one beautiful shot but 30 or 40 all similar with little tiny changes, then printed one and threw all the others away.

I don't know about the best solution but I think it depends on the solution that fit the preference. It depends on invidual's life style. For me, I kepp in the my computer and harddisk. As long as I got a back up then I have nothing to be worried about. However I printed some pictured and put in an photo album. It gives good feelings.

I have pics on disc, on the computer, in albums and in boxes....and I have several of each LOL...that would be because I am a picture taking nut! I've ALWAYS been a camera freak ever since I got my first 110 camera way back when LOL

My older ones are in photo albums, newer ones are on the computer and backed up either on a chip or a CD...

till now i have not stored more photos of my family,i does not have more photos of my family,i have very less,in future i may store more,but i prefer to store the photos,articles and important things,in the mail itself,it is safe place to store the important things,because it were not delated when the computer is formatting,have a nice day

My photos are stored on one of several hard drives. I also have many backed up on CD and DVD. My wife will have some printed and placed in a scrap book. I am in the process of backing them up off site.

Actually, digital storage isn't forever :-) If you want them to last forever, or as close to forever as possible, then you should probably go for microfilm and find a place with the correct temperature and humidity.

The digital files I have on CDs or DVDs or both + on my external harddrive. I'm thinking about getting a stationary computer at some point where I can store everything too, one with a lot of memory but not necessary a lot of computing capacity. The film pictures I have are mainly only as slides or negatives, I've got a scanner but I haven't scanned a lot of them yet. There's quite a few of them I'd like to scan so I can have them online too.

i store mine in a shoe box and about 8 photo albums,i've also got loads of pictures of the kids up on the wall

When it comes to photos with a lot of memories, I prefer to keep them inside my box..But for photos from my vacation, I usually put them in my PC...that's about it.
