hi oreocookie3 If you have any friends in the medical field I would ask it they knew how to get real training in hypnottherapy as there must be schoools for it. Also I would try webmd.com and do some googling as there must be a few schools at least , and I imagine there would also be

The best suggestion I can think of is googling it. I would say something like..
Looking for school grants for online training in Hypnosis. I know it sounds long but it should bring some links up. I'll try it when I finish. I'll let you know.

Hypnotherapy is very difficult to study at home. I can not imagine for some fields to study at home. Hypnotherapy is one of them.
Hypnotist need to review his license every year and it is very costly.
If you find at home study, be careful, it is possible scam.
I don't want to disappoint you, but be careful.

I have actually thought about being hypnotized to see if I could get them to help me quit smoking...I wonder if it will work???

Studying at home and working at home is great...but you can do your studies in college on campus if you get a few grants from different places. Many people are not aware that you can get more than one. They will pay for your gas back and forth, books, paper, pens, etc. and the schooling itself.
If you need a sitter for the children you can also get help there too.
I would start off by finding out who some really well known hypnotists are. Write to them and ask questions. Or make some phone calls to hypnotists in your area. I'd talk to a counselor at a college and see what I could get in the way of info and help.
As a mother and a woman you can get grants from the government to get the schooling you need so you can be self sufficient. There are many places to look for grants...many companies will pay for you to study. Search online.
