| Describe your home music studio | | | | I am an aspiring music producer an am planning to build a home studio 3 to 5 months from now. Tell me, what does your home studio look like? 1. Your choice of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) 2. Your Midi controller 3. Instruments (of course) 4. Your Preamps/audio interface 5. Computer/laptop power you're running 6. Additional information (e.g. room design, speacial gears, mixers, etc.) 6. And your genre :) As of now, for my DAW I use Logic Studio 9 and Ableton Live Lite 8, both running on Intel Core 2 Duo. I use M-audio Keystation es 61 as my MIDI controller and Shure SM57 Dynamic Microphone. :) | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | I'am also planning to build my home studio. The most suitable equipment for me is to have Ableton Live 8 as DAW, and APC40 and a pair of Novation Launchpads as controllers. Laptop 15'' Dell Studio Core2Duo, even the i3 - i7 series are out. Audio Interface would surely be a Lexicon product. A midi keyboard and any professional condenser microphone... Maybe a seperate monitor of 24'' :-) | | | | | | | | | | Learn to Produce Music Icon Collective- The leaders in Music Production Education www.learn2produce.com | add comment | | | |
