| Is There a Universal Standard?  | | | |  Currently the Malaysian government has allowed its employees to take 90 days maternity leave. The private sector is still allowing only 60 days. As long as the labour law is not amended, do not expect them to toe the example set by the government. I do understand that the longer the leave an employee takes, it may affect the productivity of the firm as well as its profits.
So what is then umber of days allowed for maternity leave in your country?

| |  Im pretty sure its also ninety days. i know a lot of women work right up till delivery. then some companies will extend if its special curcumstances. its been a long time but young women i know have been doing this. waiting right up till time to take leave.
