|  In digital era, I observed people mostly share their photos in digital format,People can easily upload to facebook photo album or other internet sites,burn in CD or DVD or store to Hardisk or thumbdrives.However I still like to print-out digital photos and store in photo album booklet, since easier send to our grand parents.How about you? Do you still need to print-out digital photo and store to album?

| |  i guess its still important to have printed picture at home so that if theres family visitors they can see those pictures while waiting coz sometimes our picture just stored in our computer and sometimes the computer is inside the room. and use digital photo frame is advisable but to be displayed in the living room but if theres no electricity it will not work.

I agree with you, it will be easier when visitor want to see our photo album especially wedding ceremony photos, birthday party or other memorable photos.. It also easier for the elderly since they are more comfort received printed photos than digital photos, However I am trying to teach my mom how to use facebook on her mobile phone so that we can easily share any precious moment even long distance.. happy mylotting.. | | | |

I still remember my parents and grandma photo album collection,even in black and white color but still get organized very well and we can laugh and share sweet memory in family. yeah i have seen some. whenever i am going back home & visit my grandma's house, i always love it to look on her photo album. she keeps there the pictures of her children and her friends and us, her grandchildren. know what? i am even surprise to see that she have a baby picture of me...haha like i am just month old.
she also have her wedding picture & that's in black & white. its also fun seeing my parents on their young age, like when they are still on their elementary years! haha
well, pictures do really bring many memories of the past and its good to keep them for the next generation to see...

It still nicely organized in old big album, even she has my mother's baby photo and when she's still in high school.. you are right, pictures bring our memory back and will keep them from next generation.. You remind me to scan my old photos , transfer to digital format in CD.. | | | |

| |  Like you, I too like the printed format. For one, its easily accessible i.e. we don’t need to depend on the computer whenever we wish to see the photos. Secondly the album can be carried everywhere and showed to those who don’t have access to computers (yes, there are many who cant afford a computer, leave alone net connection)….thirdly, no risk of hard disk crash and loss of all photos. All in all, I am yet to enter the digital world…quite happy with the old photo albums…AND it FEELS so nice just to relax and go over the photos and to touch them…you know…its not the same just seeing them on screen.

| |  I have yet to do that as I thought of it myself on doing the same thing to print out my digital prints and store them in albums however I have not had time. I find that digital sharing allows more ease and is easier to use that printing and sending which takes longer. However, I will not completely get rid of print-outs as they will always be needed for hanging and sharing to our elders.

I just sent one photo album of my kid to my Mom last week, it takes me 3 weeks after she requested. The best thing, now we can modified and put it on calendar format before printed out..it looks cool.. happy mylotting | | | |

| |  We rarely print out our digital photos. I keep them all in my computer or burn them onto a CD. Actually I am glad I read your discussion as I am reminded to back them up in case my computer crashes! I can't even remember the last time we bought a photo album. It was so long ago! The only downside is we can no longer enjoy pictures together with our parents, because my mom can't look at the screen for long periods because it hurts her eyes.
