Do the Christians, the Jews and the Muslims have the same God ?  

God is a good and mighty God, no matter what name you choose to give him, whether you think is name is Jehovah, Allah or just plain God. He is. I think that people put to much reliance on their religion to believe that there is one God and Jesus is his son, who came and died for our sins. Neither the Jews, Muslims, or Christians can deny that Jesus lived. However Jesus said that they will persecute us in his name, but hey let them. Be happy that religion is not Gods thing.

I always wonder why those from semetic religions always in a confused state when it comes to religion and god. for the semetic religions it is always the exclusiveness that has led them into a dead end and into conflict with everything.

There is a common thread running through all the semetic religions, but still they fight over whose god is great and powerful. a silly exercise. from a common root, they split into three dangerous streams. the holy books of these faiths are more or less similar although they differ on other aspects.

if someone share the same ancestors, same prophets, then how can the god be different? anybody with a pea brain will say it is the same. only dead brains will argue that they are different. if you look at semetic faiths, it went from bad to worse at each stage it gave birth to a new one.

if god is omnipresent, how can he be different in different faiths, while they all had a common ancestor who worshipped a single god, how can they be different. it is the same god with different names in different languages due to ones' limited understanding.

Well, God is the same by whatever name so the question is do Jews, Christians and Muslims worship God.

1. If Christianity is true then Jews and Christians worship God.
2. If Islam is true then Jews worship God
3. If Judaism is true then Jews worship God

Since those religions claim that to be true

Therefore if any of these religions are true then Judaism worship God.

So the question is do Christians and Muslims worship God?

How to decide? Well, we could proceed by textural reference and by interpretation it may be denied or accepted that Jesus is predicted by previous scripture, if the positive interpretation is accepted then Christians also worship God.

I have yet to see a valid interpretation that predicts Mohammed.

Perhaps more telling is the spirit behind the scriptures, the descriptors of God in the old testament and new feel the same, ignoring the smiting in the old.

Can the same be said of the Quran? Well, I for one am not sure

Wow thats crazy, the god of the Christians will punish you?? that sounds polytheistic to me, which is not what christianity is. im muslim, and i believe in one God for everyone. You answered perfectly when you said there is one God. I dont know why they would make fun of jesus christ. It is a requirement of Islam to believe that Jesus was one of God;s many prophets.. I think of Islam as a way of life, more than a religion. But you cannot base all christians based on those ones that told you "their" God will punish you for moving to jerusalem. You can be anywhere you want on GOD's earth, as long as you take God in your heart wherever you go, as you have. Just like you cannot base all muslims on the extremists around the world. Learn everything for yourself, dont take anyones word for anything. like the first word in the Holy Quran says "read", or "alif", in arabic...use your own brain and your own heart...its worked for you before..God bless and may your heart always be filled with the love of God.

I firmly believe there is one GOD whom the Christians, the Jews and and Muslims worship, adore and believe. If we make a deeper analysis of what these three faiths describe of the "God" they are referring to we will see the big semblances. One common ground which I rely on to believe HE is one common uniting GOD is his goodness and love for his followers. Let's try to ask one Christian, one Jew and one Muslim and they all have the same to say about their GOD.. I am very happy that we can always realize we worship the same God and its a uniting thing.. I do really hope that someday all human creatures be whatever their belief will unite for one common GOOD for mankind.

with due respect to anyone who believes otherwise, it's not the religion that will save us but our faith in god. i will orient my future kids that god is the supreme judge, full of love and mercy, and will instill in their minds the almighty's authority so they would end up god-fearing persons. :)

There is only One God, but the God that Muslims claim from the God of Christians are not the same and will never be. This is just asking the question you posted. I have nothing against other people's opinion here.

On the last question, well I am going to teach only what the Scripture tells about who God is and I will share this to my future kids that they may have the fear of the Lord in their lives and worship Him only in Spirit and in truth.

The short answer is yes they do. They just practice their religion in different ways. All three have some parts of the Bible as their own. I think they all have the first four books of the Bible.

I firmly believe and agree that both christian and muslim religion has only ONE god. trouble is that we mostly don't get along since both have very distinct principles and beliefs in each religion.sadly, it's to find niche that will bring peace to both religions
