|  Hi gang I was watching the news yesterday and they had this story about this young lady who is competing in a beauty contest. This young lady gave her opinion about same sex marriage and how she was against them. She didn't believe in them because of her faith and what it says in The Bible. Well now the city council in Beverly Hills is making a big production about it and are trying very hard to distance themselves from her. What happened to free speech and everyone entitled to their own views. I am Catholic and I don't believe in same sex marriage either. I do respect people's opinion and those that agree with same sex marriage I wouldn't make you feel like you were stupid and why do you think like that. I was also wondering with this mayor and city council all upset do they really agree with same sex marriage or are they just saying that to keep getting voted into office. I felt bad for this young lady because she is not PC and going with the world. A bigger part of me is proud of her for sticking to her beliefs and not conforming to what the world wants her to think and act. I think people should be treated with respect on how they feel with many serious issues.

chanelgirl - they did also bring up about Miss America and they went after her as well. I am just tired of people being against it get bashed for it. I think that is the main reason I started this discussion. I don't think people should be bashed if they are for or against any issue.
