Getting sound on the computer. |
| |
| In order to get sound from my speakers, I have to go to “sounds and audio devices property” and click on “speaker volume” putting both speakers on high, then I hit reply but closing it out, it goes back. Both the player and volume on the computer are turned up as high as it will go. There is no static or anything to indicate a problem with the speakers themselves. Yet the sound I get out is very low, I have to have the speakers very near me in order to hear the music. Can my speakers be going even though the sound doesn’t sound bad, just low? | | | | | |

| | Like I said, I have both the volume on the computer desktop and the windows player all set to high, even went into the control panel to the sound device and set it. Also I have to leave that opened after applying the setting because if I don't it goes back to the middle and then I hear nothing. | | | |

| | Try to reinstall the sound card driver... but before: Are your speakers good? try to check it in other PC or some other audio equipment... Are you sure that the speakers are active type? if they are passive type is normal to have very low volume... Regards. | | | | | | |

| | Search in the CD's included whit your PC, there would be all the drivers, including the audio driver and reinstall it fron the CD... | | | |

| | if your getting sound i dont think it will be your sound card it seems like you don't have the cord plugged in all the way and its not letting all the sound flow smooth | | | | | | |

| | You can set the sound, but whether the default device you use is found another option or just one option? if there is more than one may be among those who have a very low noise so you should be closer to the speakers. | | | | | | |

| | if you open the Sounds and Audio Devices there is some kind of choice: in Volume there are Device volume and Speaker settings. In Device volume you can adjust the volume of sound from low to high and underneath there also must be marked as the Place volume icon in the taskbar if you want to put your volume settings. in Speaker settings there is a button to adjust the speaker volume left and right. And also have Advanced Audio Properties which two choice: -Speakers to do select the speaker setup -Performance to do control how windows plays audio. in Audio there are Sound playback, Sound recording and MIDI music playback and select in default device in each place. | | | |

| | I did all that and when I set it to default I get no sound which is why I set everything on the highest setting. I was able to get it so it doesn't return to the original setting and able to close it now, but it is still very low. | | | |

| | Sounds like the speakers could be going, or they could also be not being read proeperly by the computer. Try pluging and unpluging them and resetting the settings. But low speakers usually means they aren't fuctioning properly. Try one or both things to resolve the problem. | | | | | | |

| | I think your first idea is the problem because now I am hearing some static and the sound is even lower..So I guess I need to start looking for new speakers. | | | |
