No. I had a nokia 5300 phone once. The charging thing might not be the phone's fault, it can be your Sim card operator.

My phone fell off the couch once while on the charger and immediately said it wasn't charging even though it was plugged in. Even moving it to a new outlet didn't help. I had to unplug the phone from the charger, turn it off, re-plug it, and then it started to work again.

That is strange that it said it was charging, I've never seen anything like that! Its probably just a sim card issue, if you've dropped it the card may have shifted out of place.

i see that you are new to mylot. welcome to mylot. i think that there are many phones that are like that. i know that my sisters old phone was like that. she ended up finding out that the phone was obviously not working anymore. so she ended up getting a new phone. i suggest that you should get a new phone if it acts up like that.
