Old Wives Tale?  

I am not sure if the actuality of the blood being thicker is true either To..but it is worth studying for sure.
I do know that one can be said to have 'tougher skin' if living in cold conditions, but does that mean literally that the skin is tough?
I think this might be a valid scientific question for the scientists and biologists of us.

I am completely at a loss here. I don' know if it an old wives tale or not. I am eager to read this thread to be enlightened to hear what other mylotters think.

I am not sure.. I have heard that if you are Caucasian then you can take the cold weather much better than someone that isn't. I have noticed myself that these type of people can take the cold weather more. When it is cold, they can wear shorts and short sleeved shirts more. If you are Native American too. Because they used to live in Igoloo's. I am hot natured, I dislike any kind of hot weather. I don't even like humid weather, it makes my skin itch.

I have heard this too and believe there is some truth to it. My parents who live in Florida feel there blood is thinner because 65 degrees for them they find it cold. Where if they were still living in New York they would have found it comfortable. Like me, living in New Mexico 65 degrees would feel great to me. It has something to do with living in a certain climate for a long period of time your blood will get thicker in the cold weather and if you live in a warm climate your blood will get thinner.

never heard this, but i have and do tell people blood thicker then water. and it means your blod family should come first and water is suppose to be like friends. family comes before freinds

I would love to be scientifically enlightened on this subject, because I don't truly know the correct answer to this question. However, I do have a few theories that I would feel comfortable throwing out there.
I would assume that a person that lives in a colder climate may have thicker blood because of the fact that they probably don't consume as much water as someone would that lived in a warmer climate.
As far as first thing in the morning, I would think that your blood is at it's thickest because it had been a while since you'd had anything to drink.
