Have you ever seen the Grateful Dead?  

another old deadhead thread with no responses. well hear you go. i have seen the dead more times that i can count, and have seen the remaining members almost as many times. but, alas, i am probably done. my first show was in rochester, ny in 1978. donna and kieth godchaux were still with them. the only original member i never got to see was pigpen. and let me just say, "what a long strange trip it's been." LOL

I've lost count. Many times. Did some touring.
First show was in 1973 (?) at Roosevelt Stadium, NJ.
And life was never the same again...

Some of the best times of my life were at Dead shows.
Even took my son to shows until he was 2, and wouldn't stay in the baby backpack anymore. He's 17 now, and has seen a lot of Dead shows, he can't remember them, but I reassure him he had a good time, LOL

Hey Canjo! I was born too late as my first show wasn't until 9/9/91 at MSG. I saw them a total of 12 times with Jerry. I don't know how many times I've seem the surviving members. A bunch. I too was a tad disappointed at the lack of GD posts on this site. Thanks for posting this!
