|  There is a story on the news now that Wal-Mart is selling the black barbie doll cheaper then they are selling the original white barbie doll. Ouch. Not that I actually think Wal Mart or barbie meant it as a racist thing but it's such a small difference in price why would they even go there with all the negative connotations that it would bring. The whole "selling" and black thing, wouldn't you think Wal-Mart would know better then to make any difference in prices or product like that.

| |  If they're selling them cheaper, then they probably want to sell more. I don't think it's racist, just common supply and demand. The demand goes down, the price goes down in an attempt to get the demand back up again. (Which probably says something bad about the customers rather than the bussiness) Unless there was some sort of other reason listed...?

| |  Wow....this is one weird story...I also agree. I don't think they Intentionally meant to make it be rascist. They would have no reason. It would just cause problems for them. I think people just get so overly sensitive to these issues. And it's just plain stupid, I get so angry at this stuff. Seems like people always make ALLLL these excuses for how we're oppressing them SOOOO much, that it ends up turning into reverse-discrimination.

| |  It not just Black barbies they price higher or lower...I remember the "Hawaiian barbies" like 10 years ago were more expensive than a white barbie. They were tan coloured and slightly different colour hair. They price their pregnant barbie differently...and their handicapped barbie differently. Now some of these come with extra acessories but its not like they're all one price anyways. Unless its the exact same barbie with the same kind of acessories then id see a bit of a hhmmmm wonder why the price is different.

| |  I'm thinking that was an unintentional error. During Barbie's birthday week, (my local one atleast) Toy R Us was selling the original Barbie for $3.
If they were trying to ba racist, I think they'd not carry black Barbies at all. :o

Nike shoes sell for more money than Reeboks. Why? It's not due to race. It's called SUPPLY AND DEMAND.
More people buy the white Barbies than the black Barbies, therefore the price of the black Barbies are cheaper.
JesuseffinChrist, people need to quit using the race card on EVERYTHING they feel is racist.
If white people tried this, we'd all be gunned down and killed. Whites can't be racist apparently.
