Mississippi Prom canceled in order to keep Lesbians OUT  

the school was definitely wrong. they teach all sorts of feel good bleeding heart bu||sh|t in the schools alla time.. including tolerance for all sorts of rediculous things.. and then scream about a girl wanting to bring the one she cares for to her prom? even going so far as canceling it cause they havent got spine enuff to change the rule? hows THAT toloerance? should practice what they preach to the students *nod*

Hi Tee, The young lady only wanted to bring her date as was her right. It is clearly the fault of the school for not having an open mind and letting the prom go ahead for everyone. It is hard to believe that this sort of thing is still happening and shows that fundamentlist Christians are still a force to be reckoned with. Have no fear however, those who fight for human rights have always had to do battle with the church. We will win this battle too. Blessings.

Thanks for ruining prom attention horse. She's not lesbian, she's a high school brat going through a phase. She's only lesbian cause guys like girl on girl action. Look at her zebra outfit. The circus is in town. She only asked if she could take a chick, cause all the dudes rejected her. But other than all my rambling, i'm sure the story is much deeper than what they reported. I've never known any school to deny chick on chick action. Schools are full of pervs.

That sounds about right in today's society. A minority event happens and the majority have to change or suffer to accommodate it.

Human rights!! Freedom of speech!! Democracy!!

Well if you come up with a global policy that sounded good at the time, don't be surprised if minority groups make use of it and turn the whole thing upside down.

GGGRRRRRR I was reading about this yesterday online and I have to say it INFURIATED ME!! Not only is the school IMO WAY OUTTA LINE and TOTALLY WRONG but can you just imagine the hardships this is goin to cause this girl and her gf (who also goes to the school)?!?! if I were the girls family I would seriously lookig into legal action! Thats just sick, twisted, cruel and unfair..

Discrimination of the worst possible kind. The school was completely in the wrong and should never have made an issue of this in the first place.

The school was at fault. That girl had every right to bring her date to the prom, be it girl or boy.
