Do you burn the tall candles in the glass jars? |
| |
| Like for instance the st jude candle do you burn them? If you do can you tell me why your burn them and what do you do with the candle once it is fully burned. I just burned two and I had about five a few months back. I don't remember if I tossed out the burned candle or not. I was told by a friend to burry the candle or keep it in a closet in my home. But,to never throw them out. I can't see myself storing all these candles. | | | | | |

| | why don't you refil them with some more wax and have some new candles. buying candles is so expensive, making them is much more fun | | | | | | |

| | I never thought of this one. I would not know where to begin making a new candle. I will check the craft store in my area. Thanks | | | |

| | In many places, the cost of buying wax to make your own candle is more costly than buying the candles that are already in these types of jars. | | | |

| | you're right it depends on how much they were to start with. If you talking 50p at the charity shop then fair enough but some of them are a fiendish price. i use to work somewhere that made £110 candles so it does vary. I got my wax for 50p but you can save the odds and end from other ones and off cheeses and make a new one | | | |

| | Well, personally these are not ones I have ever burned, and really have not had a desire to burn them. I guess since I am of a religion that only believes in Jesus I have never seen the significance of doing these as well. But I have always wondered this myself from people who burn these type as well. | | | | | | |

| | I'm not sure which candles you're talking about. Are they wide ones, or tall and skinny ones? I make wax candle holders out of old wine bottles, and drip the wax down the size of the bottle. If I have bits of skinny candles left, I stick them in the bottle, until they burn out, and fall inside. When the bottle fills up, the wax starts to melt when the stuff burns and melts. | | | | | | |

| | That sounds like it might be some type of a cult ritual to me. I have a couple of them and I use them once in awhile but mostly save them for a power outage. I also just toss them when they are finished. | | | | | | |

| | We do burn a lot of candles that are in the glass jars. When I have burned the wick out on the candle, I will melt the wax that is left and start to make another candle. What I will do is that I will get the wicks that you can buy at the craft store and I will put that in the bottom of a candle and I will layer leftover wax in the candle jar with leftover wax until the jar is full and then I will have a new candle. It is a lot of fun to do and it is not wasteful at all. | | | | | | |
