Did you buy your childhood dream toys for your kid?  

I don't have kids yet but I think I would do the same thing you did and for the same reason. I wasn't able to get the toys I like when I was a kid but if given the chance I would buy the toy my kids want for themselves.

I don't have a kid yet, but I see what you're saying with my boyfriend. He has a kid from a previous relationship and he loves buying toys that he wanted when he was still a kid. He loves going to toy stores and look at toys which he says are for his son, but I joke him all the time that he just wants to buy one for himself and he's just using his son as an excuse. hehehe. I think that's what it is really, is we want our children to have the things that we didn't have.

I am having kid yet but I am tend to buy the toy I like to my cousin and nephew so sometimes I can play that whit them. It positive too because they will consider me nice and fun because I am wiling to play with them.

i guess most parent would love to do it...they want their child to experience the good things that they don't experience when they are younger. they always want the best for their kids...

i remember my grandma, she buy & gives me toys and things that she was not able to give to my mom when she's a kid due to financial problems...

so only if i have money to buy then why not, i would love to pamper my baby and give the best for him/her...

My husband and I have decided, of course only if the toy is still safe to play with, that we will look online for the toys we played with as kids. One of them is a talking teddy bear that tells a story, others are pepsi machines for kids etc, and of course original remote control cars etc.

I have no kids yet.. ahha =D But your mindset is common among many parents.. hehe ^_^ MOst parents will be buying their own dream toys for children, because it's something they have always wanted, and yet they cant have it..

PLus, if they were to buy it for themselves, they will feel kinda weird, as they are overage for that!! lol =D

But when it comes to buying for their children, they can actually be playing with it too, along with their children, showing the child-like side of them again.. haha =D

haha.. actually, dwightsunee, since i have no kids yet, i bought a toy which i liked when i was a kid, and gave it to my nephew... he only looked at it and went away!!! haha... it was a funny experience..
he didn't really like it at first, and since i was still interested with it, i took the toy and played with it myself...
my nephew saw what i was doing and joined in.. hahaha.. now he is loving it.. hahahh
