Wow, very 'devil may care'. True we can shut ourselves from this major information overload. We can just ignore what goes aroudn the world. somehow as people, we have this weakness. Even though we do not focus it is spam at us. so you have knickerless singers and toyboys and a gold sleep-around. So what? so, we only read what we want and discard the rest.

I have ranted long and often and am totally bewildered as to why ANYone would want to know stuff like this... do they not have enough to concern themselves with in their own lives and those whom they really care about??

Heck it was your Cricket game over there not here so you could put what ever ads you wanted up I would think.
They have had blackface here since Al Jolson didnt see anyhting wronf with it then not now either.

Here its getting where the weather Channel puts out better news than the news channels.

I don't care, either. I was unpleasantly surprised yesterday to see that the lead story on Google news was a movie star who had to fly home because her husband cheated on her. What does that have to do with me? Nothing! I don't care! That is her business, not mine.

My husband was soooo into the Tiger Woods scandal, but I just didn't care. :-)

Hello hiccup. Like you, I could care less what other people, even famous ones, do with their own time. Same as I don't want anybody else minding what I do with my own time. As long as they do what they are paid to do, when and where I want them, that's all I care.
It's unfortuante that prying into ones's affairs have become a means of livelihood. And It's unfortunate that there is a market for these kind of useless information.

Yeppers, life has gotten so unnecessarily complicated that I don't know how people keep up with it all, but I simply moved to a community where everybody is pretty down home about everything and like you say, they just don't care. It is so "home" and comfy and I will never go back to an urban center, not even to visit.

Out here the media doesn't rule as we make our own news and the very best entertainment is when neighbors ham it up and the best sports are the games we play. Still we are not completely out in the boonies because we all have internet exposure.

I wonder why people even care about other people's personal life at all...

Although, put it this way; there are many people who don't care about Best Entertainment, The Best Sports, The Best Stage Acts, but gossips and other 'junk'.

Media don't broadcast those things because they THINK people care, but they broadcast those things because there are people who DO actually care. And what Media knows is that broadcasting those things would get them a good audience share, hence more sponsors, which allows them to keep their business running and pay their employees.

It may sound rediculous to you, but 'average' audience do have a spare time to support those junk... whatta shame lol
