Do you think a" lady" still exists in this world and what is a lady all about?  

Working at the amusement park, I've met people from all over the world and have met quite a few ladies. Yes, there still exists plenty of ladies. I still remember the three female coworkers from Poland, one from Ukraine, two from Thailand, two from Romania, and two from Singapore. These were real-flesh-and-blood ladies. They don't get offended when you open the door for them, they were petite and polite. When you stop, they know that they are the first to enter, sit, or whatever a gentleman does for a lady and they don't get offended. It was fun, privilege, and an honor to be around them.

I think "ladies" are few and far between these days. It amazes me how many young girls are all too willing to pop out their boobs at every opportunity. I see it on TV, and youtube, goes on and on. Some of the gutter mouths some of these young girls have is atrocious as well. I'm all for equality, but, there's no reason for no class.

They are as scarce as gentlemen! A lady:

Oh I certainly hope so! I want to be a 'lady'. I have made a concerted effort to wear 40's-style dresses and learn how to cook. I even have a blog on the subject-- http://www.thehousewifehandbook.blogspot.com

I hope to share with others tips for being a 'lady'-- classy, respectable, and beautiful! And at the same time, getting the things done that need to be done (cooking, cleaning, etc). I hope that soon women will realize they'd rather be a lady than-- er-- whatever they are now! lol!

Of course ladies still exist in the world today we just have a tough outer shell now is all. Back in the day we were not treated equally and were not aloud to do some of the things that we do today. We just rely on ourselves more now a days then back then. I think that woman can be tough as nails when needed and soft as a feather when the time is right.

I really think that a woman can be a "lady" and still be powerful and strong at the same time. I don't think the definition of a lady is a helpless, meak,dependent little creature. Rather it is a woman's grace and style and integrity combined with her intelligence and strength. It is how a woman presents herself that defines her character.

There is definitely a lady still in this world.. if there are no other women out there, then I'd say my mom is the purest and awesome lady around. Of course she's my mom and I can be a bit biased, lol..but many others whom know her would agree. She is gentle and although she can be a bit 'vocal' at times, she's a very genuine person whom cares. Her words are not as gentle as some others, but she has a big heart and she has lots to give. She gets hurt easily and I hope that I can always shield her from those who seems to hurt her time and again. I can't be bothered with those whom hurt her, but she always tells me how hurt she is and all that so yeah.. I feel for her. But she's a great lady for sure. She takes care of my dad and the whole family whilst I'm not around and all that.. and she's very patient too. So if there's a lady you ask, I'd say most moms whom sacrifice for their families, are the best ever.

It depends really on what your deffenition of a "lady" is. If you think she's the week-willed type of person who will pro-create children to cary on a family name and be a doting house wife and mother, then no you aren't going to see much of that. Those who are still like that are greatly influanced by old fashioned values.

In my opinion a real "lady". Is a woman who stands up for herself, and sees herself as equal with her husband, and earns her own living.

A lady is defined by her character and how she carries herself. A lady can earn a living, is kind and gentle but tough when she needs to be. She gets tough with grace, not by coarse language or reality show behaviors. She is chaste, honest and gives of her time to volunteer where ever she is needed. She understands who she is, and will not put up with abuse from a significant other. She wants for herself what she gives to the one she loves-honor, respect and kindness. She is meek and humble, but not a doormat for anyone. Her dress is chaste and tasteful. She is wise and seeks out knowledge.

Yes there are ladies in this world unfortunately they are going the way of the dodo. I think a lot about being lady like the the way in which parents have brought us up and also the kind of company we keep. Nowadays parents actually teach their girls that if they are gentle and polite they will be taken advantage of and people will trample on them. This is probably because since women nowadays work shoulder to shoulder with men and are in volved in more out of the house work, parents feel their daughters should be tough and get whatever they want by any means. Sometimes this even spills over to their married life where the girls are taught not to get pushed around or bow to every demand of their husband. I guess with women becomeing more independent today, it's just the way things are now.

If you do encounter a true lady consider yourself lucky, and don't forget to be a gentleman.
