You might be glad to know I boycoted SA for years - I would not buy or use anything that originated in SA for 50 years. I don't know if it made a difference, but I felt good for doing it

Well there were free meals when I was little, bus fares too but then as now they are means tested so only a few people qualify

I wouldn't know, I don't have kids so I don't have grandkids - and they don't give much to grandkitties....

I only have one boy (partly because of environment mostly because I wouldn't go through that again!) I might have a grandchild, my son isn't certain and the mother will have nothing to do with him. Grandkitties have no income so can't be means tested, maybe that's why they don't get free stuff (I don't think)
