Another puppy  

With your dog beings young still you should have no problem bringing another dog in. Don't wait too long though because sometimes older dogs have a hard time adjusting to a a new puppy around. It will be great for him to have a playmate. It will also give you and your fiancee some quite time where you will not have to entertain the puppies, they can entertian you with their play. The one thing I would suggest before bringing another puppy in the house it to take the one you have to a puppy training class. He should know the basic obedience commands and how to walk on a leash before you introduce another puppy. Otherwise you are likely to have more than you can handle. As for getting another dog of the same breed, thay is completely up to the two of you. They do not have to be the same, I have a walker hound (60 lbs) and a papillion (5 lbs). The two of them will romp in the house until it sounds like the walls are coming down.

I don't think there are any rules as to when it would be good to get another pet to keep the other one company. I have read some of your other discussions and in your case I would advice you to wait until you and your fiancee have a place of your own. You said your husband was stressed about money and I know you are trying to save up and get your own place. Puppies can be kind of expensive between the food and their shots and heaven forbid if they need any medical attention. Also it would give the grandparents yet another thing to get after you about. Also if you and your fiancee end up looking for a place to rent, there are many landlords out there that don't allow pets.
