I'm just curious though, when you said 'engrave our song' did you mean the title or the whole song? for sure if you put the whole song there, then it would be too tiny to notice and would only carry dirt over the years (that what's happening to all the engraved wedding rings I've known).

I have a friend who has engraved 'the kernel of my heart' for the wedding ring of his wife. It's cute because he's a programmer and that is what he things his wife is to him.

So, I guess his engraving that to the ring has a sense to it. If you think the song is something you want, then who are we to contradict, right?

do you mean the whole lyrics of the song or just the title of the song, because if the lyrics of the song will be engraved there, i don't think it will still serve it's purpose because when you're already old, you cannot read them anymore even with eyeglasses, they may be too tiny!LOL!well, if just the title of the song, i think if that's what you want, then you can have it engraved in there.

I don't think it matters what other people think, if it's something that's important to the two of you then you should do it. In theory you'll both be wearing these rings for the rest of your lives, so do consider whether or not your current song is something that you're sure will stay in your hearts forever. But if it's something you both feel strongly about then by all means, go right ahead and do it - they're YOUR rings and it's YOUR marriage!
