Battle Angel Alita  

i am not familiar with Battle Angel Alita but i hope James Cameron will do well in bringing this one to movie. well he's a good director and judging base on his previous works maybe he will do much better that the one who do the Dragon Ball.
I think with the right casting and good effects & cinematography, everything will be good and will look closer to the original..

with the Dragon Ball, i must agree with you that its really disappointing watching that one and it looks like it was being rushed and was done without much thinking...

I've heard rumors about this floating around for a while now and I don't really know what to think. On one hand I'm dreading to see the final result but on the other hand I'm kind of excited. James Cameron is a good director after all. I just hope they follow the original story closely instead of trying to branch off and do something else entirely. I think it would turn out pretty good if they kept that in mind.

Oooooh, James Cameron? I have heard of him talk about a sequel of avatar and he's also planning to make 2 more movies along with it (which is "Aliens" and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day"). But I didn't see Battle Angel Alita in his list. Or maybe he just changed the name for his adaptation...? If it's James Cameron, I just hope it's gonna be a hit. And oh yeah, Dragonball was an epic fail. I haven't watched it yet, but I saw reviews about it and because of curiosity, I watched the trailer...and it made me go LOL XDDD. Bif, there's also gonna be an anime adaptation of Bleach....and Warner Bros. is gonna handle it.

Hos is Battle Angel Alita "one of the most important anime ever" I have seen it and it was really nothing special.

It really takes a certain mindset to make a good live action movie from anime and that mindset is something that americans don't really have.
